I suddenly have this whole, I'm-in-the-movie-"Arachnophobia" image in my mind, just that it's cockaroaches...yucks! I quickly finished up and fled...talk about harrowing man...
There is another incident that bugged me yesterday. I was sitting in the MRT train on my way back. Then this girl comes in and sits down and guess what I see?! A BIG GULP from 7-Eleven! I mean, hello!? This is the MRT. There are signs that are everywhere stating that you can fined?! The ultimate act of defiance!
My mom said I should have told her off, but then what would that accomplish? Embarrass her? Maybe...well, I dunno...
The Law!
The perpetrator that broke the law and stands defiantly and spits in it face!
Anyway, here are some pictures of dinner yesterday!
Fried brown rice with assorted legumes and mock meat. Mom forgot to drain the sauce from the mock meat, so it turned out really sweet. There was 'chocolate' and 'tau sar' (sweet red bean paste) flavours in the rice. Most intriguing! Haha... These are the hands currently conducting a labour of love. Frying rice is hard work!
Salad. Californian seedless black grapes, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumber, and diced Chinese fragrant pears. Dressed with olive oil and lime juice. ^_^
Stir-fried beef with red and green capsicums. The beef was a little tough, but according to Mom, just chew it and taste the 'sweetness' of the meat can liao. Haha, guess that's how to deal with all meat dishes that turn out tough...wahaha
Salmon sashimi on a bed of lettuce, drizzled with lime juice (to kill bacteria and add tangy-ness). This was a request from my bro...guess he suddenly has a craving for raw fish. We kept getting lectures from Mom about not eating raw things too often...will end up with worms...eeew...scary.
Well, the food looks not bad right? I really love eating my Mom's cooking...it's always interesting and different. Wah haha...I think I need to go and do work liao. Tmr I have a Japanese Studies project meeting, so will be working till late!
Gambatte ne!
