再见了! 许多感触的两天。。。

Just finished showering... Just got back from the airport. Tonight my uncle, aunt and my CUTEST baby cousin fly back to Denmark after their month long stay here in Singapore! I will miss them dearly...they only get to come back ever so often. One month flew by in an instant...it was only yesterday that we were picking them up from the airport. Now they're gone again...sighz... Missing them already... It was really nice having my aunt back for that entire month.

When she left, she said, "You must come over soon! Got so many things that I can show you!" I asked, " What things?!" She replied, "Things lah!" I asked again, " WHAT THINGS?!?! Say lah!" She just said, "Things lah! Haiz..." *grin*

Now was that cryptic or what? Well, I will try my best to go over and take a look...heehee...whatever things she may have to show me. Haha. ^_^

Today went to Michelle's new place (which is not really new, cos it's still in Boon Lay lah, just a different part that's all....haha) It's actually really nice and airy, and I love the funky mirror in her bathroom...farnie angle..hahaha

We played mahjong (well, sorta), and ate fried stuff from Old Chang Kee, and Michelle baked more chicken nuggets and sotong in the oven. Guess what? She doesn't have chilli sauce....haha, but it's okay...the food tasted fine without them. Heehee. I had a super fun afternoon lah, chatting with Ritchie, Jun, Michelle & Shuqin (Melanie, Mel N). After that Shuqin, DRIVE us to everywhere we wanted to go..THANKS Mel! Hahaha

Oh! Naurto Issue 30 is finally out! Waited so long can?! Sakura is finally useful. I am so happy! I can finally like her without feeling that she's a whiny kunoichi with crap for powers. She's actually quite amazing now! Superhuman strength, healing abilities, and excellent chakra control! Naruto is still as brash and 'cock' as ever...but the fights in this issue were totally EXCELLENT! Can't wait for the animated version! (To blazes with the freaking filler episodes now!)

无聊。。。

I thought bidding starts today, so went all the way down to school in the morning, expecting to do some bidding and everything. Well, it actually starts on Thursday...hahaha. On the bright side, I met up with Vi for breakfast...supposed to have Macs, but guess what? They don't open until 10am during the hols...would u believe that? Haha... So we ate at the ARTS canteen instead, and talked module talk...heh

After that, I went home and fiddled somemore with CORS...more or less confirmed what I will take liao...in spite of advice from many sagely, and reliable sources, I have decided that I will try my best for the level 3000 module. I mean, I will have to take such modules eventually, so I don't see why I should worry about people being better or more experienced...I just put in more work lor! Hahaha... ^_^

Tomorrow is the Isetan Private Sales, and here is the official guest list:

Paul
Paul's Friend
Xinwei
Yiting
Esther
Vincent
Amos
Myself

Total of EIGHT people.

Plan
====
We are meeting at 0830hrs at the McDonalds inside Shaw House. DO NOT BE LATE. If not, then we will all fall prey to the hordes of 'tai-tais' who will undoubtedly already be forming a long queue. That I can assure you...haha. Technically, I still have 4 more tickets, so if anybody wants to see what a private sale is like, feel free to contact me. Have fun! I hope I will...hahaha... ^_^

Nice? Just a random sprite picture I took while I was walking around some exhibition at the National Library. It was showcasing the artwork of some artist who designed game characters.

Quick Review

Today was totally boring and uneventful. All I did was watch The Law of Ueki until 5am this morning and then slept till 1130am and got up and continued watching the show. Absolutely lazy and could not care less. Well, I sorta did some research on what I want to do next semester...bidding starts tmr morning! I think I am going to be in for a hell of a time man...I mean I have a feeling it's going to be like the first time..where everyone is going to clog up the system and then we'll all be disgusted and angry and unhappy and cursing and swearing and making fingers and disgusted and angry and unhappy and....well, you get the picture I guess. Anyway, here's what I think I will be gunning for next semester:

EL2101 Structure of Sentences and Meanings
EL2102 Structure of Sounds and Words
SC3219 Sexuality in Comparative Perspective
GEK1512 Understanding How the Internet Works (NO EXAM!)

I can't decide between GEK1049 Introduction to Narrative and EL2111 Historical Variation in English. I am not sure how heavy it is to take 3 EL modules in one semester. I really I don't want to end up overloading myself. So yeah...still having a little headache as to what to take. I think I will leave my last exposure to the later semesters so that I can take a breather if I need one. Well, I'm also thinking of minoring in Gender Studies too! We'll see what unfolds...I'll try do these for this semester. ^_^ (If anyone has anything that they feel they should let me know i.e. if any of the above modules may cause my 'death', please DO NOT hesistate to inform me..thanks!)

Okay, here's a short re-cap of X'mas week...

Yesterday was excellent! My relatives came over for a potluck lunch (it became dinner, but that's usually expected in my family...time STRETCHES...rubber-time as Mom calls it..haha). Let you all see some pictures!

Three different kinds of roasted meat, courtesy of my Grand-aunt Julia! (Oh, she brought achar too!) Damn nice and juicy and sweet and savoury and EVERYTHING! Fwah!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Smoked salmon, with creme cheese, dill, cucumbers and tomatoes...all between slices of wholemeal bread...SEDAP! A Danish specialty...or so Uncle Erik and Auntie Cheng says. Haha

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Stir-fried squid...a first time effort from Auntie Cheng...the sauce was a little strange, but the squid was cooked to perfection...so that's good.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.com Rockmelon and sago...and the white stuff is ice-cream ok?! Blended with milk! Rich, decadent and absolutely sinful...made by Mom, so what do you expect?! Mwahaha...really really good. ^_^

My FIRST plate sorta looks like this, after that, I kinda gave up and forgot about taking pictures of my 2nd, and 3rd plates! Hahaha...

Here you see the sandwich preparer (Auntie Cheng) and the master carver (Mom)! Ladies hard at work to present excellent homecooked food...家的感觉...I like... ^_^

Post No. 255

Oh, incidentally, it's on a 'need-to-know-basis', so don't expect me to go around pouring my heart to you if I feel you don't need to know. Yeah...that's just what's so.. ^_^

slow Tuesday...and bad Monday evening...

Again, quite long never blog anything liao hor? Well, I've been grappling with several things lately lah...so not a lot of time to pen my thoughts down. I spent most of today with Mom at Yishun. She had to take half a day off to wait for the new refrigerator to arrive. What happened was last Wednesday there was this 'sorry-dear-residents-but-we-need-cut-the-electricity-for-a-few-hours' maintenance period. Then when the power came on again, the fuse for the old fridge blew and we all thought it was a goner...so went out to buy a new fridge lor. Nice, big, silver, LG thing...not too shabby...haha

The freaking delivery men were late! 30mins late can?!?! Make my poor mother wait for a whole for nothing...and almost make her late somemore. Terrible can?! Call us at 10am to confirm the delivery will be arriving from 2-4pm, and they arrive at 430pm...for fuck?! Might as well don't call...then at least we could assume that they were irresponsible....call at 10am, pretend to be so service-oriented and customer-service-ish, then still come late...my mom had to call them twice somemore, and each time say, "COMING ALREADY MDM, 5/10/15 more MINUTES"

BAH!

Well, yesterday the most terrible thing happened to me can? I was on the 854 on my way back from tuition at Hougang. So I was sitting on the bus, slowly dozing, when suddenly...I felt someone FLICK MY EAR! Yes, no kidding, my ear was flicked! I was stunned for awhile, and was sorta waiting for an apology to come from behind, but it never came. Contemplating whether or not to do anything, I decided to not me a wuss...so I turned around, and confronted the people. They were 3 Malay girls, who might I say were very VERY TACKILY dressed! The conversation was as follows:

XJ: Did any of you flick my ear?!

3MGs: *blur/puzzled/innocent/"supremely annoyed looks*

XJ: Well?! If it wasn't on purpose, the least you could do was apologise!

middle MG: Sorry... (she totally did not mean it can?! The bitch!)

I left it at that...thinking it was over... Immediately after this, there was loud conversatoin amongst the three of them, in Malay. Sadly, I did not understand/speak Malay, if not I would put them in their place by shocking them that way. I heard 'bodoh', but I dunno were they referring to me. Anyway, it was not over...after that, they began poking me in the back!!! YES, I kid you not! They were poking me lightly in the back! After about 5 pokes...

XJ: HEY! I DON'T THINK IT'S FUNNY OK?!?! *pause + GLARE* WHY DON'T YOU THREE JUST GROW UP!!!

3MGs: *non-plussed looks all around*

XJ: *changes seats*

I mean, I have never been that infuriated in my life...the nerve of people! In my mind, I was cursing FUCKING MEE**S all the way, and I meant it too! Of course, just directed at them lah...so uncouth can?! The ultimate product of the socialization that is so common to THEM! I mean, my neighbours are Malay, and they're totally cool folks! Assholes exists in every race man...(and yes, I know I run the risk of sounding oh-so-slightly seditious...but please lah...go check the dictionary if anyone even thinks of giving me a lecture)

I should've given those girls a longer tongue-lashing...just let me get started on their fashion sense man...by the time I'm done, they'd wish they were arrested by the fashion police instead. Haha...

AMAZING FRIDAY!

I had the most AMAZING Friday! I was facilitating at this event organised by Office of Student Affairs (OSA) of NUS. It was a joint thing between OSA and CCI!

I tell you ah, the most amazing people attended, and I totally enjoyed myself. I found my attraction levels high, and I learnt abit of the power of 'the unspoken', and how it occurred for me! AMAZING!

Everything just fell into place for me tonight, and I am so glad that I made the friends I made...just simply amazing! That instant where the eyes meet and the electricity flows...wah lau, buay tahan man... I also cannot take it...I just gave in to its pull...hahaha

Well, thank you to everyone who gave me this chance to facilitate and I am certainly glad that I had this chance...thank you thank you thank you! ^_^

Handwriting Analysis

The results of your analysis say:

You fill every waking moment with activity.

You are a shy, idealistic person who does not find it easy to have relationships, especially intimate ones.

You are affectionate, passionate, expressive, and future-oriented.

You are a talkative person, maybe even a busybody!

You are self-confident and like to bring attention to yourself.

What does your handwriting say about YOU?

Not really that accurate, but then again, I WAS using a mouse instead of a stylus..haha...couldn't really be bothered to make it absolutely accurate lah...those of you who have seen my signature know it to be much much 'chio-er' than that...wahaha...

Been busy lately...okok, more like lazy...but there really isn't that much to blog about these days. Life is just going on, and the hols are slipping away as we speak. I enjoy myself, scold myself, praise myself, and whatever else comes up for me. Other than that, nothing is really happening in my life mah...at least, not much.

Been slightly feeling-feeling lately, but then again, I usually am...haha...I need...I don't know what I need lah...haha

Someone tell me please?

My baby cousin Gregers looks like him right? Haha...now he can have a 小名, and it will be...Jack-jack! Wahaha...can't wait for him to burst into flame and set the sofa on fire! Hahaha.

Online Music (paid for it somemore)

I just downloaded an entire album off a paid website...it didn't feel too bad. It's nice to pay for things once in awhile...heh...Haha.

It's the OST from this movie called Brokeback Mountain. It's directed by Ang Lee leh! I think it's just so great when Asians are recognised for their work..especially on the international scene. I so want to watch it, but I doubt they will show it in Singapore lah (go click on the link and you will know why it may never come to Singapore). Ah well, see how lor, I may have to resort to umm...how should I say this...ALTERNATIVE methods to procure a viewing of this movie. It premiered at the Gold Lion, Venice 2005 International Film Festival, and of course won the usual 'critical acclaim' (I swear that this phrase is overused and abused) from the crowd there. It also won the Best Picture award! That should say something about this movie man...I wanna watch!

Ah well, until I can obtain it from my, umm...sources, I guess I will settle for the OST first. It's really good so far, I have enjoyed every track. And to download it only cost me less than S$0.20! So cool right? It's a site where you pay a minimun of USD$10, then just download whatever you want from them lor...not too bad. As I have been saying forever (actually since I got my first MasterCard), MASTERCARD - THE KEY TO THE WORLD! Hahaha...

Feel the CUTENESS! (oh..Harry Potter: TGOF was a TAD disappointing)

Yiting! I never post anything because I am LAZY ok? Hahaha...anyway, I am posting something now. SO read until you shiok shiok ok? Wahaha.

My aunt arrived yesterday! So exciting! And in tow were Uncle Erik and of course, their adorable son, my fabulous cousin Gregers Nielsen (his name is actually longer, but I can't remember the exact order of all the words, so this is the shortest form...can't fault me here...heh)

My baby cousin is the cutest thing..he's damn funny. Giggles and smiles at most things (like me!) but last night he kept crying until 4am I think...strange place and strange time zone both do not agree with babies I guess. Anyway, today he's calmer and and seems a little more settled in. They are staying for an entire MONTH! That means Christmas this year will be excellent! SO happy. Hahaha...

Gregers likes to laugh, and he likes to show off that he can balance on his tummy too! He does a SUPERMAN (you know, where you raise all of your limbs off the ground and pseudo-fly?) Very CUTE! Haha...going to be a good December this year.

To Kill with Cuteness

Ok ok, so the pics are little grainy, but see how much his cuteness still comes through? SO AMAZING! Hahaha...

=========================================================================================
Anyway, caught Harry Potter with Xinwei, Kelvin and Vincent...well...I was a little disappointed with the show. Too many chunks were left out, and since I'd read the book before...it was pretty frustrating to know that many important or quite cool bits were not shown. Ah well...I guess you can't fit everything into 2 1/2 hours ay? I did, however, like the casting of the champions though. I felt they were all very true to how they were described in the book. Voldemort was excellent! Ralph Fiennes was absolutely marvellous! You could sense the evil man...so EVIL...

Emma Watson was so pretty in pink (though it was actually supposed to be blue..haha) and she's really becoming such a pretty young thing..sighz...hope the fifth one will be better though. Fortunately for me, I had good company, so not a total loss. I went shopping before the movie..and I realised that I am so SO in need of retail therapy...ah well...work for $$ first, then we talk about shopping...haha

Maybe I will get something nice for Christmas this year...heehee...I know a lot of relatives still 'owe' me 21st birthday presents...haha..but of course I wouldn't play that card against them lah... YET... Mwahahaha.... (mimics Voldermort's evil laugh...)

PS: I will be away this weekend and will only be back on Monday. However, if you desperately need to contact me, SMS/call me. I will still be contactable. Cheers!
