My tuition kids were the sweetest ever! It was my last tuition session with them today, and they actually bought me some presents! So sweet! I felt so warm and fuzzy inside...heh...
One of them even asked if she could get her sister into the class, so as to keep the class going. However, though touched, I knew that I did not want to continue with it anymore. It's not worthwhile lah...the time and effort spent just doesn't warrant the amount of money I am getting. Sighz...

A Bored Superhero
You know someone is bored when they start to fill your tagboard by tagging it and then replying to their own tag. If you look at my tagboard to the right, you will notice that I am having a conversation with Mr Anonymous. Well, I can tell u that it wasn't me who typed all that shit. In fact, one of my superheroes was so bored, that he filled up my entire tagboard with all that nonsense, and I guess it was a clear sign that I was bored as well because I actually watched him do it. Hahahaha...no prizes for guessing who the bored superhero is! Bleah!
Anyway, here's something that you will see more and more often in the Central Library as exam period draws nearer...
Power right? Hahaha...people actually bring this kinda shit with them to the library..it's amazing I tell you. Usually it's the PRCs who do it, but this time, it was a fellow Singaporean. I looked at it, and was quite amazed...I could only say "WOW" as he set the thing up and asked if he could transfer our cables onto his adapter (is that what u call this thing?). Though I appreciate having the adapter to facilitate laptop charging, I must say that it is a potential fire hazard. Fortunately, as of today, I have yet to hear of any freak accidents that have occurred because of these adapters. Another example of a fire hazard:

Feeling Better
okay, I managed to settle issue #1.
I have to be his slave the whole of the coming Wednesday, but I don't mind. Better than feeling miserable about upsetting a good friend. Guess when he said that I have to serve him hand and foot, it sorta was a clear indicator that he wasn't that angry with me liao...
Now all that's left is the project work...going to be in school for the whole day! Yay...I is loving NUS...not... -_-

Bad Grammar Week

Today I is goings for my regulars lessons for funs. Then I realises that today is not thats great. I is had to attend a project meeting to discuss a mosts terribles, nonsensesicals and aries-fairies topics. Then we is trying our best to divide the workload..but sadlys, it is not that easy, and we struggled for abits (then again, it could have been dues to thes facts that we keep on talking and talking even thoughs we is supposedly supposed to be discussings).
Anyways, after the meetings, I was sitting in the Perk Point trying to think about how to add fleshes to a super, duper, humolingous nonsense topic. I realises that its is nots that easys...when wes finally finished distrisbutings the workload..its times for mes to go and meets Danns.
We meets cos he is wanting to go and buys a pants. But in the end, he no buy anything, then I is waiting for him, so I look around lah...then i realised that there's a nice shirt. I picks it up for Dann, and he went to try it on...it looks good. Then I tries it ons...very nice! I like it a lot! Hahaha...the Dann said. 'buy la...'...and I bought it...u wanna know why? I paid only $9.90! So cool right?!?!?! But Dann's didn't buy anything...sighz...why I always like that ah? End up I buy instead of my fren...no good right?
Ah well...

This girl was a normal little girl until you see her do her special movies. She's damn cool, and I love her tons in the anime! She got her Intelligence Device, and it called Raging Heart! :P This device can transform into various form of itself.
Cool right? Sighz...I am feeling super sleeping right now...GOSH...I need to nap...toodles!

They still can't get over each other...it's so heart-wrenching to watch. I really think they are a cute couple together..they should just get together lah...so annoying...
Every week watching the sexual tension, and the emotional pressure building up between the two of them is terrible...makes me wanna scream and shout and cry all the same time. HAHAHA...but it's only a show...I think my life is more drama than that. Heh....

Slivers, Goldmine cheesecake, and happy boys!
We went down to NYDC, Holland V, to have dinner just now. Sorta like a birthday dinner for Daniel and Vincent. Hongxuan, Vince, Gerald, Aeron, Daniel and myself. Everyone was late as usual...but then again, I'm TOTALLY used to it already...

Ordered standard NYDC fare...stuffed our faces...
And had the standard Goldmine cheesecake...ultimate sin...we each had 1/6 of the entire thing...wow...i'm having tummy churns now actually...too rich, too cheesy...
The best part was when Vince opened his present, from Lionel, Dan and myself. A set of Adidas wristbands...he didn't really react to those. In fact, I don't think he really liked them...but the killer was the other gift in the little red paper bag. I bought him THIS (click on the pic for the decklist if you play Magic)!
His eyes sorta popped opened, and he started laughing uncontrollably...that was when I knew I had struck gold. Hahaha..excellent choice of present...and to think I was thinking it may have been too childish, or silly. Haha! I sure can pick them presents. Slivers are his favourite creatures in the game...and he already has an existing deck...with this addition of like, so many more new Slivers, I think his deck will become even more 'zai'...ah well... ^_^
Paul was right...sometimes, you see something that you feel is totally right for another person, and you feel this urge to buy it for that person...this was exactly how I felt when I saw the deck on the website a few weeks back. Heh...enjoy the deck Vince!

Pretentious Delifrance!
Was doing data collection in Holland Village yesterday, and saw the advert (see below) outside Delifrance.
SO PRETENTIOUS right? I think they were trying to go for some kinda fusion shit, but I feel it's totally off lah. Nasi lemak is nasi lemak, and beef rendang is beef rendang. Trying to make it French is just so wrong, and I doubt the French would appreciate it anyways. I certainly would not try this at all. But then again, I never really like Delifrance in the first place...the service sucks, and the food is not fantastic, and with the money I'd spend there, I'd rather go elsewhere...

Anyway, I just completed my Genes and Society mid-term test. Thank god I S/U-ed it. Hahaha...now sitting in the PA room listening to Mariah Carey's remix album and waiting for Leo to come join me for dinner...should I go his room and play PS2? Think think think....still got one more mid-term next week...and a presentation as well...

In Lieu of Children's Day
Conversation between my tuition kid, Beverly (the girl whose father called to 'F' me for scolding his daughter) and myself...
Beverly: T'cher, can I ask you a question?
Xing Jian: Sure. What?
B: You got celebrate Children's Day?
XJ: Errr...no. I not chu-ren I celebrate for what?
B: Umm..but...you watch Kids' Central mah...so u are chu-ren lor!
XJ: Watch Kids' Central means I am chu-ren ah?
B: Yah...
XJ: Oh. Then I am chu-ren lor...
**This was one of those totally random conversations that come up during tuition at Hougang.**
This month is my last month already. I don't want to teach there anymore...it's totally not worth the time and effort, all the travelling and getting scolded by disgruntled parents. I will however, miss the kids dearly...they're a good bunch...very very entertaining. ^_^

Of Throat Cancer and Ice Kachang
The rest of my mid-term break has been busy-ish. Been dealing with alot of things...family, friends, relationships etc etc. It's been trying, but still can tahan. Brought grandpa to the clinic to do up his mask for his radiotherapy. We're going to go ahead with the therapy, hope everything goes well. Too many risks involved already...but still better to have a chance at curing than not.
I like ice cream! I bought this while on my way to Cathay to do my data collection for my EL module. Yummy...though I missed the days when this DID NOT cost ONE WHOLE DOLLAR. Heh. Then this week I had more sweet desserts...
I went out for supper with Des on Friday night/Sat morning. He was so nice...come and drive me at 130am in his nice red sports car! Haha...so we drove to Lau Pa Sat and had PEANUT ICE KACHANG! Ok, he had the peanut, and I tried the kiwi (this was a terrible choice)
The kiwi one had a strange reaction with my plastic spoon. It caused the spoon to become super soft and translucent. Very very freaky...and by the time I realised, I had finished half the thing already. I didn't believe Des at first, but he promptly stuck his spoon into my bowl, and true enough, 5 mins later, his spoon with limp and translucent as well... *freaks out*
If u look carefully, you will see the hole in my grandpa's throat. This was caused by throat cancer which occurred 20 years after he quit smoking. They had to remove his 'voice box' to prevent the spread the of the cancer. Yeah...so now he breathes, coughs, and expels phelgm through that hole. Abit scary, but that's what happens when you get throat cancer I guess.
Then of course, you have to carry a little card that says you need to receive air through the opening. Needless to say, you cannot talk anymore as well. So...please don't smoke ok? If not, this is totally possible. Of course I am biased against smoking, so don't be stupid enough to ask me to smoke also hor...offering me cigarettes is a BIG no-no...I breath enough secondhand smoke when I go clubbing already (which is not very often, but still bad enough).

This was the true star of the evening! It's like covered in peanut sauce, and sprinkled in chopped peanuts too! DAMN SHIOK! Only $2.20! Very good! The slightly rough-yet-smooth textures in the mouth go so well with the finely shaved ice. So you get this very VERY interesting mix of textures in a very rich, nutty amalgam of heaven! Hahaha. BAGUS!
