Online Music (paid for it somemore)
I just downloaded an entire album off a paid website...it didn't feel too bad. It's nice to pay for things once in awhile...heh...Haha.
It's the OST from this movie called Brokeback Mountain. It's directed by Ang Lee leh! I think it's just so great when Asians are recognised for their work..especially on the international scene. I so want to watch it, but I doubt they will show it in Singapore lah (go click on the link and you will know why it may never come to Singapore). Ah well, see how lor, I may have to resort to umm...how should I say this...ALTERNATIVE methods to procure a viewing of this movie. It premiered at the Gold Lion, Venice 2005 International Film Festival, and of course won the usual 'critical acclaim' (I swear that this phrase is overused and abused) from the crowd there. It also won the Best Picture award! That should say something about this movie man...I wanna watch!

Feel the CUTENESS! (oh..Harry Potter: TGOF was a TAD disappointing)
Yiting! I never post anything because I am LAZY ok? Hahaha...anyway, I am posting something now. SO read until you shiok shiok ok? Wahaha.
My aunt arrived yesterday! So exciting! And in tow were Uncle Erik and of course, their adorable son, my fabulous cousin Gregers Nielsen (his name is actually longer, but I can't remember the exact order of all the words, so this is the shortest form...can't fault me here...heh)
My baby cousin is the cutest thing..he's damn funny. Giggles and smiles at most things (like me!) but last night he kept crying until 4am I think...strange place and strange time zone both do not agree with babies I guess. Anyway, today he's calmer and and seems a little more settled in. They are staying for an entire MONTH! That means Christmas this year will be excellent! SO happy. Hahaha...
Gregers likes to laugh, and he likes to show off that he can balance on his tummy too! He does a SUPERMAN (you know, where you raise all of your limbs off the ground and pseudo-fly?) Very CUTE! Haha...going to be a good December this year.

Anyway, caught Harry Potter with Xinwei, Kelvin and Vincent...well...I was a little disappointed with the show. Too many chunks were left out, and since I'd read the book before...it was pretty frustrating to know that many important or quite cool bits were not shown. Ah well...I guess you can't fit everything into 2 1/2 hours ay? I did, however, like the casting of the champions though. I felt they were all very true to how they were described in the book. Voldemort was excellent! Ralph Fiennes was absolutely marvellous! You could sense the evil man...so EVIL...
Emma Watson was so pretty in pink (though it was actually supposed to be blue..haha) and she's really becoming such a pretty young thing..sighz...hope the fifth one will be better though. Fortunately for me, I had good company, so not a total loss. I went shopping before the movie..and I realised that I am so SO in need of retail therapy...ah well...work for $$ first, then we talk about shopping...haha
Maybe I will get something nice for Christmas this year...heehee...I know a lot of relatives still 'owe' me 21st birthday presents...haha..but of course I wouldn't play that card against them lah... YET... Mwahahaha.... (mimics Voldermort's evil laugh...)

考试完了，我真的很开心！ 开心，开心，开心。。。 (and ugly Singaporeans)
The exams are finally over for me! I am happy! Yay... today's papers were a total bitch. Well, for the first paper (a 'Geog-ish' kinda essay based thing) I realised that because I had not written essays for such a long time, I could not muster the velocity required to produce long expositions of extended text of the recommended length in the stipulated amount of time allocated to the participants of this test of one's ability to regurgitate vast amounts of information.
(That basically means not enough time, wrote too little...jialat)
My second, and last paper for the day (and for the exams! ^_^) reeked of the trickiness expected of my favourite module. Dr Madalena had once again out done herself, and the paper was, as expected, annoyingly cumbersome, and required great mental capacity and dexterity to
handle. It's not easy doing two papers in one day, but at the end of everything, it sure as hell feels great. The past exam period has been wonderful and I really enjoyed studying with friends in the Central Library of NUS. It's amazing to see how people will reserve seats with things like tissue paper, water bottles and (the least offensive of the lot in my opinion) readings/notes. Also in demand, are power outlets...very often, ingenious undergraduates will resort to bringing their own multi-plugs or extension cables (see right) so that everyone of their friends can share also.
I must really thank all my friends for studying with me, and helping me 'chop' seats at Level 6 in the library. Arigato Gozaimasu! *bows* These friends would include the following people...

Well, that brings me to the of this post...tomorrow I am going to go gym(need to be fit! too fat liao), and then maybe jalan-jalan around town, and probably meet Vincent in town I guess...his iPod Nano 坏 already! So sad can? 两天而已 leh...talk about shitty man. But then again, I have already changed my iPod Shuffle twice already man...that makes it my THIRD Shuffle. I think deciding to live the life of a Apple user is one fraught with many trips to the AppleCentre at Wheelock Place, and while your gadget gets fixed, you get tempted by all the other 'chio' stuff there...that is why I have yet to let myself fall into the trap of the ever beautiful and 'chio' Apple goddess... OH! Do not forget, you end up having to head all the way down to Yio Chu Kang to collect your fixed device, which is not fun at all if you live in Hougang or some other obscure part of Singapore...

The JS Indisgestion.
I am supremely jubilant today. I have finished one of my most hated exams and am so glad that I can finally say good riddance to the bloody thing. (Of course, 'bloody' is a very tame form of diction that I have chosen to employ. A more fitting form would run along the lines of 'fucked-up', 'KNNCCB', 'intellectually inept and handicapped'...aiyah, the list is endless...I really cannot stop expounding on it's many failings, so don't even get me started)
Anyway, doing the examination revealed to me many things. For example, I never studied for the silly thing, and contrary to my friend's philosophy (that we should work doubly hard for subjects we dislike because they will affect our CAP score if we do badly), I just cannot muster the vigour to actually start doing the freaking readings. For me, no passion/interest = no study/effort/work etc. Anyway, I found the paper extremely poorly constructed, and it generally epitomised rote learning...yucks! *balks*
Tomorrow is my last day of exams, and though I have two papers on the same day, both are modules I generally enjoy and will definitely have more interest and drive to actually do well for them. As such (considering the JS module now reeks of a C-), I should not be expecting too great a CAP score this semester. Of course all my friends tell me otherwise (and I sincerely thank all of you for that *hugz*), but I did the papers, and I know how well I did. Now the only thing that can save me is the power of the bell curve. Will I line the bottom of this bird cage of an institute of higher learning (which I still insist on calling SCHOOL, despite objections from various people), or will I actually be able to hover at mid-cage range? I do not know. I will only know my results nearing X'mas week...so until then, I will enjoy the wait...sorta... *grinz*
On a happier note, my aunt (with husband and child in tow) will be arriving in Singapore soon! So exciting! Can't wait to see this mixed-blood baby cousin of mine...next time grow up confirm damn handsome wan...heehee... Very excited to see them! Can't WAIT! ^_^
Whew...I feel sufficiently purged of the evil taint (which is JS), and am empowered and invigorated to continue forging down this road of examinations...haha...will blog soon again...yay! Hahaha...
PS: I mentioned to Xinwei that I will hex the JS purporters of their bloody module such that the female one will actually start speaking PROPER ENGLISH, the 'ang moh' one to actually STOP sweating like a pig, and lastly, the Japanese one to GROW HAIR on his head!
(okay, the last one doesn't seem like a real hex, but I don't care lah...he was the most bearable of the three...SORTA...)

not too bad, not too bad...
Today was an okay day! I'm in school now...Central Library, Level 6..hahaha... I made progress with my revision. I mean if I compare it to my more 'lustrous' friends, I may not have done much, but I'm beginning to feel abit more of the so-called 'steam'...I think that's what they call it. Hopefully I am moving faster than this little guy you see here...I took a picture of it this morning as it just happened to be where I was lah... 
It reminded me of a story one of my friends told me about this gigantic snail he saw near his hostel...haha...well, here's my snail..not as big I am sure (cos my friend swore that the one he saw could be sold for a lot of money or something like that...haha)
Anyway, today was not a bad day for me...feeling better about the exams and my revision and others sections of my personal life as well. ^_^

a bit better today... ^_^
Not too bad...I'm feeling a little better this morning. Though it is cold outside, but I think my battle with the fever is turning in my favour. Still mustn't get complacent though...fight it all the way! Wahaha.
I got a msg from my CO yesterday...Perry (here he is...excellent boss, he)...heh. He was thanking me for my testimonial on
Friendster. How cool is he right? Who ever heard of a CO who has Friendster? Wahaha...anyway, I was really surprised to hear from him. And I realised that he has an excellent memory. He actually remembered the time he called me by another name, and how disappointed I was. My upperstudy was called Jinxian u see, so if you flip the letters around, that sorta gives you my name, Xing Jian. He said he remembered how disappointed my face was when he called me by the wrong name. Come to think of it, I think I was really disappointed.
Haha...imagine your boss, who you've worked for for quite awhile call u wrongly? Or worse, one of your closest friends calling you by another name...damn sad right? Haha..anyway, it was nice knowing I made his day lah...glad to make him happy...he'll always be my CO. Haha...(eee, so feeling-feeling hor?)
Anyway, quite pleased with myself this morning. I got up, ate breakfast and watched cartoons, and then finished my JS project editing. The stupid IVLE refused to let me upload though, so I had to email the files to my groupmates lor...annoyed with the NUS server lah. Wargh! I think today I will go and study with Jason, or head do to Lido to support Bronson, or go home and build my Faerie deck, or have dinner with Mom...or maybe...just maybe, if I plan my time well, I can do ALL of the above! Hahaha!
We'll see how lah...I think today should be a better day. Hope everyone who is feeling sick, will take care of themselves and rest up ok? ^_^ Drink lotsa water and battle the fever with rest! Friendster. How cool is he right? Who ever heard of a CO who has Friendster? Wahaha...anyway, I was really surprised to hear from him. And I realised that he has an excellent memory. I am going to rant and rave now...please forgive me...
I just don't like being sick lah. I have been at home the entire day, running through toilet paper rolls like nobody's business (I think I killed a couple of trees today, including last night's toilet paper roll too). Sniffling, blowing my nose, chafing the skin around my nostrils, rubbing it raw can?!
I'm having one of those, 'why-can't-Mom-just-come-and-make-everything-better' flashes, and I know I shouldn't cos I'm a big boy liao! But just feeling damn lousy lah...for those of you who play Magic: The Gathering, it's like being tapped down by Icy Manipulator. Or kenna Stasis + Kismet lock...shit man. I hate it. Can't do anything except to draw cards, and say, "Go."
My dearest friend, Jason (u see him as ~mugging jason~ in my tagboard) insists that I am lovesick...well, maybe he's right...but...I'm not telling any of you people! Haha! ^_^ Go away, only a select few know, so if you dunno, then u dunno lor...DON"T KAYPO (slang for "busybody")
I am waiting for my online JS conference to start...need to finalise the project...sighz. Tomorrow, I still need to go for tuition can? Sheesh. Sooo not looking forward to it. Hope I don't give the kid anything, if not, wait he kenna illness from me, then die how? Maybe I should call to cancel? That would be the responsible thing to do right? No point giving him any sickness right? Bad for everyone mah. I think I should cancel...though I really did want to pass my bug to him...wahaha... (okay, that was evil Xing Jian speaking, he's been abit more active of late...the bug loosens my hold on evil me..sorry about that.)
ARGH! There some idiot smoking! I can smell the smoke...must be my farking neighbour from downstairs or something! ARGH! Save me! I hate cigarette smoke! Ugh...dying already...make my already fucked up nose feel more shitty...wargh!
I just want a comforting word, a gesture of affection, an action of sweetness....if these constitute lovesickness, then I guess yah lor...I prolly am lah...sighz... :(

Level Up already...sighz
My sickness leveled up already. I am now at Stage 2 of my transformation. My mucus, as of this morning, is GREEN! Ugh...I guess, that's good, cos that means I should heal by the exams.
So for now, I just need to focus on light foods, and lotsa water. Haiz, I've been seeing this pattern my ENTIRE life, and yet I allow it to perpetuate. It's terrible lah...so unconsicous..sheesh.
Anyway, no more! I better start doing the disciplined thing and start making my life healthy again! You know lah, drink water, sleep enough, eat well, exercise..blah blah blah...that kinda thing (all the BASIC things which most of us don't do) lor...Haiz...

monitor spoil, sore throat, never study enough
My day started off okay at first. I went for a rehearsal at Sheraton Towers, where my fren Dean will be having his military wedding! I am one of the sword bearers lor...so exciting sia...haha. I never do sword drills before leh, I had a lot of fun. Met up with Weiquan, Kevin, Guanzhen, Jeffrey and George! Really miss them so much, and did not really realise it until I saw them lah. Haha... In the pic, is the groom and myself, in No. 1 dress sans headdress. Brings back memories wearing it. I think I look a little fat though...but everyone says no leh...but somehow, I am inclined to distrust them....hahaha ^_^
The ceremony is not that difficult to remember, only problem is that need to hold the sword up for an extended period of time lor, so quite 'siong' (Hokkien word, adapted into an SAF slang for 'tough', 'very difficult and taxing'). I get to wear SAF No. 1 dress again! One of those rare occasions lah, so must take plenty of pictures...and this time, I get to wear it with my Guards beret leh! Exciting sia! Heehee....
Anyway, when I got home, I realised that my monitor is spoilt! I dunno why, but it just refuse to turn on. My PC is on standby mah, so that means just shake the mouse a little and all should be well...but no...the stupid thing just kept dying on me. Now I am relegated to using my laptop until I get a new monitor...I wonder if Mom will want to sponsor me or not...heehee.
I'm also sick can?! It started yesterday...I had a vodka lime (courtesy of my dearest LG), and I thought it was that that caused my throat to feel so scratchy and sore...but actually no lor...it really was that I was getting sick. Haiz, so now I have sore throat and a nose full of mucus (that is threatening to turn green/yellow), and I hate that feeling.
I think it didn't help that I was studying (okay, we weren't really studying, but we still have fun I guess...mwahaha..watched a movie and chit-chat is always fun) in an enclosed environment with a friend who was sick as well. Now I don't have any mood to study, and there are still things that are outstanding that need to be done. Haiz...
Well, I think I will end off here now...so yeah. My poor lappie will have to do a lot of work today...the poor thing...

haiz...got my Philo paper back liao...
I did not get the grade I wanted...19/25!
Sighz...I thought I would be able to pull of an 20+ score, but I guess now. Reading my tutors comments, I realised where all the shortcomings were lah...
Some of them I actually managed to spot mah, but I was thinking that got no space to include..maybe I should've just fucked the page limit and just write first. Haiz, ah well, it's an improvement of 1 mark...sianz

The exams are around the corner!
Good morning everyone! Exams are coming already! So scary! My first exams after such long time...exciting sia...hope nothing too terrible happens..hahaha. Anyway, jus did another one of them quizzes. I think this one's a little silly...they always ask weird questions like "What is the colour of you inner/outer aura?" WTF?!?! Doesn't make sense at all. I mean I understand the concept of auras slightly, and you won't know ur colour until u get it checked, or someone who can see it tells you lor...haiz.. Then the disclaimer also says it's for girls only?! I think most girls also dunno what the questions are asking about lor.
Try this one: "What colour do you see the world in?" Mish was doing the "what kind of eyes are you" test, and she was like "Huh?!" Hahaha
Anyway, after struggling through all the questions, I get a result that is actually quite accurate. Hahaha. The picture is quite nice also lah. But I think from now on, I will only do these silly quizzes when I am TRULY bored. Hahaha..
