Pimp My Motor Vehicle!

Welcome to today's episode of Pimp My Random Motor Vehicle! Today we have a special treat for everyone! What vehicle are we pimping tonight? We are pimping an SBS bus!!! Can you believe it?!

Neither can I! Here we go....

Today, we are aiming for the lounge/club/bar look and feel...wish us luck!

Luscious sofa-like seats replace the usual boring two-seaters! Faux leather in pristine white covers the entirety of the seat, promising luxurious comfort for commuters. No longer do you have to cram your backside into a narrow seat - perfect for SBS's plus-sized commuters! How considerate, don't you think?

For those who prefer to exhibit a more individualistic self, we have installed comfortable one-seaters that promise to accommodate the most prosperous of behinds. These seats will not be able to swivel around as you would usually expect, for we are aware of the safety requirements. We certainly do not want our commuters falling all over the place. ^_^

To fully complete the lounge-ish feel, we have installed a mock up of a bar, complete with our very own glossy bartender. Handsome isn't he? Remember to pop by the bar for a chat or a drink.

This has been an excellent episode of Pimp My Motor Vehicle! Remember to tune in next week for our exciting season finale! ^_^

All Over Again

Sitting there by his bed, I watched him sleep.
It was not an easy sight to bear as I held his hands and felt the coldness,
Or rather, the absence of warmth.
I thought to myself how great it would be if I could really channel heat through my hands to his.
Of course, there is no such thing.
The closest I've heard is reiki and related forms of energy channeling.
And even then there are detractors very much against the practitioners of such disciplines, though I have personally experienced the 'art' performed on myself.

Whatever the case was, I placed my hands over his and commented how cold they felt.
He merely nodded, eyes closed, somewhat unresponsive.
I no longer knows what he wants; communication is almost lost.
He places both palms together, in the fashion of praying, and moves them back and forth -
as though doing so would invoke the spirits to have mercy on him.
I just sat there, content to stare into his old face, carved full of lines by time and experience.

(The feeling of indifference is probably a defense mechanism to protect myself from the pain that is eminent. And no, I still haven't told him I love him. I need to figure out the words first. Yeah yeah, excuses excuses...)

I remember staring at the family portrait hanging in the living room.
I was only 7 or 8 then, I don't remember.
She was still around then. I remember her loud voice filling the home and making it whole all the time.
When she left, she took half the home with her, and we moved into a new place, with only half of what we once had.
Now, he may leave soon, taking the other half with him. The silence that was his will soon be gone, just the noise was hers and had left with her passing.

Then all that will be left is an empty home...and newfound independence and sadness all mixed together in one confusing package.

I still want to be able to channel warmth through my hands, to replace that absence of heat in the cold hands of others.

I miss you...every single day... ^_^

Is that just dandruff, or you...

1. ...are dreaming about a white Christmas this year?

2. ...use cheap hairwax?

3. ...have Santa Claus living in your scalp?

4. ...tried exfoliating your scalp with sea salt? (what WERE you thinking?)

===============================================================

Some bitchy things you can say to a person with dandruff...LOL

Bored...

I have no more papers but I sooo don't feel like studying for them! ARGH!!!

They are both open-book lah...and there are so many days in between them...argh....

Halfway through...

Just finished my EL2111 paper today...it sure was fun! Picture this...

Got time:

*copying from notes*
*thinks to self*: Hmmm..I have time, I think I will paraphrase this...and this...and this...
*sense of satisfaction*

No time:

*copying from notes*
*thinks to self*: Hmm...no time liao...
*continues copying*

Don't you just love open book papers? ^_^

My next paper is next Monday! Gosh...I have so much time can? I will be printing out my notes tmr, and then I will file them and look through them. I think I will allocate some time for my EL3254 (also open book) as well. Because I have sooo much time, I am soooo tempted to just go and buy my Nightfall chapter, and start a little bit on it can? Argh...

*resists the GuildWars demon*

=======================================================

Been studying with Leo in CL this semester, cos we're sharing THREE modules anyway...talk about overkill man. But we're cool, even though we quarrelledthe most times this semester...hahaha...too close for comfort liao. =P

Anyway, we were having our usual bitchy day in the library yesterday, and guess what? Karmic retribution!

This is what happens when you badmouth someone for the entire morning. One third of your chicken the uncle serves is made of fat and skin! Hah...too bad for Leonard...he had to deal with all this fat...I was clever enough not to buy from the chicken rice stall in business. I had a much nicer noodle dish from the Beijing Feng Wei stall.

See? Much nicer right? Hahaha...anyway, we were so bored that stupid Leo decided to play a practical joke on me! And Tien did not even stop him! Grrrrrrrrrr..................

I kenna bullied lor...haiz....and this THING is supposed to be my best friend...ugh...*disgusted*

=======================================================

Two more papers to go! Gambatte ne! ^_^
I am going to sleep early tonight...going to take advantage of the excellent weather!

Yummy + Random

3 for $2...good stuff! ^_^

==================================================

this was one of the most tense moments of the film...

守恒: 快点啊!
正行: 那。。。我跟慧嘉
守恒:*pretends not to hear* 啊?!

it really sucks not being able to tell your best friend the truth.
sometimes it's just being so close that makes it super difficult to say what you truly feel.
the pain of being close, the fear that the truth will destroy everything.
the notion that what you truly feel will totally rock and cause their world to crumble.

Bad Timing

Sitting at home waiting for a call from the hospital now...

I have to be the main liaison person, since my Mom is fucking frustrated with the staff at the hospital. Basically, we've been getting calling from the various departments of AH the entire morning, and it's truly amazing...how everything along the hospital 'process' line is so segmented that everyone is basically concerned with his or her job...

On the side of the patient/patient's family, we have to repeat out story...say...20 million times? Haha...the irony of it all lah...systems that make our lives that much 'EASIER'... RAWRS...

My Mom blew up at a trainee nurse, and trust me, you do not want to have my Mom blow up at you...you may be scarred for life...LOL. I guess I am pretty frustrated at having to deal with all this during my examination period...I just wanna sit down and study...but cannot leh...have to handle this and handle that....argh....

Just wanna rant abit...in fact, I realised that it's soo annoying that I don't even have the energy to type the situation out in full detail...

okok, I have to go now...the laundry's done...hahaha...yeah...you heard me right. LAUNDRY...since when do I do laundry right? HAHAHAHA...

Ciaoz!

English!!! ^_^

Thank you Paul for the vid, and Beth for transcribing.

Three fellows wenten into a Pubbe
and Gleefullie their hands did Rubbe
In expectacion of Revelrie
T'was the hour that was Happie
Great bottels of wine did they quaff
and had a really good laff
Til drunkedness held Full Dominion
For tis Two for the price of Onne

Yet after wine and mead and sack
men must have a massive snack
Great pasties from Cornwall
Scottish eggs, round like a Balle
Great hams, quail duck and geese
They sucked the bones and drank the grease
One fellow stood all pale and wan
For he was a vegetarian

Yet man knoweth for gluttony
stoketh the fire of lechery
Upon three young wenches round and sly
the fellows cast a wanton eye
One did approach with drunken wink
"'Ello, darling, ya fancy a drink?"

Soon they caught them on their knee
Twas like some grizzly puppetry
Such was the lewdness and debauchery
Twas like a sketch by Dick Emery
Except that Dick Emery is not yet Borne
So such comparison may not be Drawne

Then the fellows began to pale
For quail is not the friend of ale
And in their bellies much confusion
From their throats vile extrusion
Stinking foul corrupcion

Came spewing forth from drooling lips
The fetid stench did fill the pub
Twas the very arse of Beelzebub

Thrown they were from hall and trumpet
In the street no coin no strumpet
Homeward board they must quickly go
To that end the donkey stole
Their hands all with vomit greased
The donkey, well was not pleased
And threw them into a ditch of shite
They all agreed, "What a brilliant night."

Of Donuts, SIM & Waraku!

I had my first cheese and wasabi donut (see top left corner...the funky one with a light green dot in the centre) yesterday, courtesy of dearest Aeron. Apparently he went 'donut-ing' (I quote him...) and brought back a box of lovelies after queuing for goodness knows how long. I was on my way to tuition when I met him on Bus D (I think), and I 'liberated' a funky looking donut from him...

It's not that clear, but the top of the donut was covered with very light (and shiny), savoury cheese, and there was this light green wasabi filling inside. It was not as spicy as I thought it would be...I think they mixed in too much mayonnaise inside such that it nullified the spiciness of the wasabi.

Anyhow, it was an interesting snack as I made my to Kent Ridge Terminal...thanks Aeron!

This morning I got up early to head down to Singapore Institute of Management to surprise Jun at her graduation! It sure was fun surprising your friend and seeing her face light up with happiness...(yes, sometimes I have that effect on people....*shameless*) Must thank Michelle for inviting me down to the graduation if not I would not have known about it at all...heh

I took a cab down and the whole way, it was this jovial taxi driver who had Hokkien songs playing...and he saw me smiling and when I said I enjoyed listening to Hokkien songs, he lit up, turned up the volume and sang the whole way (he wasn't too bad a singer..and I had a good time...heh)

I did not know that they had to pay for their reception leh...you'd think that after paying so much school fees, the place would provide for the reception right? But no lor...Jun said that the reception was $15 per pax...of course I did not pay for this prior to coming, and basically I freeloaded the entire time! I did not even take breakfast before going down...so I really 'whacked' the buffet tables! Pigging out is great! ^_^

Jun's flowers! (complete with cuddly rabbits/dogs...I couldn't tell which...hee ^_^)

Not too bad lah..for $15 per pax..the plates and cutlery were all NOT disposable and quite ingeniously designed. If you look carefully, there is a opening for your drink (which I conveniently used to stick my thumb through) and there are even little slots in the rim of the plate for you to stick your fork and spoon in! And the plastic is of good quality some more...not some cheapo plate...quite atas... ^_^

This should be my 2nd or 3rd helping... (YES, I pigged out!)

Pig-Pig! *munch, chew, swallow*

After everything, I even met up with Gavin cos he was studying the library and did not want to appear too 'bu yao lian'...I told him to just fuck it and eat lor...no one knows whether you paid or not lor..hahaha ^_^ It was nice seeing him again after so long. I wanted to meet Johnson also, but he was sick at home...ah well...will probably see him at the clubs or something....wahahaha...

=================================================================

I just finished dinner with Fifi, Alex, Lionel (cuter one), Philip, HX & Vince at Waraku at Central (this new shopping centre at Clarke Quay). Dinner was nice...fun to have everyone there chatting and enjoying each other's company.

Fifi and Alex went shopping before dinner, and they bought me a polo tee! Belated birthday present! ^_^ Sooo sweet...and apparently Alex stripped in public to try on the polo...awww...so sweet...fortunately, they got me a new piece...hahaha...

The shirt fits well, but it the kind where it acts a constant reminder that I cannot afford to get fatter...wahahaha...so that's good, I think...heeheee...

The shirt was shared by Fifi, Alex and Alastair! Thanks guys. ^_^

Lub alls of yous deeps deeps...heehee

Tomorrow got meeting in school....*roars* What to do? HEH...

XJ loves COOKIE!!!

Hui bought me this wonderful cookie from that wonderful coffee establishment today. This came at the perfect time considering I had not eaten anything prior to this. Whew...lifesaver! ^_^

It was a thank-you for all the wonderful GIFs that I've been making for her. This woman has some strange desire to see her fave 'idols' in animated GIF format. Fortunately for her, I happen to be able to make simple GIFs..hee

Glad you like those GIFs babe! Give me more requests if you wanna ok? Take care you Muse-loving, Kruznick-adoring fangirl! *bleah*

23 already...

Not the most spectacular of birthdays considering I had to spend it in school doing projects.

Thank you Hongxuan for that short, but nice luncheon at MM (I will let your imaginations run wild...heh).

Thank you Leo and Tien for the simple dinner at our favourite (actually ONLY) Taiwanese restaurant at Fong Seng.

(Basically, today, all my meals were paid for...hahaha...)

Thanks to all my friends who wished me well! ^_^

I think I will sleep early tonight...suddenly very sleepy...tomorrow I will be doing my first ever emcee gig (at least I THINK it is my first...can't remember whether I did any emceeing in school last time or not....heh)

15mins left of my day will be spent showering...heh

My Elementalist Changed Sex!!!

For the strangest reason, when I mapped in from one of the maps, my FEMALE elementalist CHANGED SEX!!! I also don't know why, but there was this bug that made my elementalist MALE until I mapped again...gosh...so bizarre...

I think my elementalist is sexier as a SHE...hahaha...don't you think so? ^_^

Do Not Disturb

is this show that I just watched on Arts Central!

It's a series of short films that are produced by local thespians I think...tonight's show was concepted and produced by Tan Kheng Hua, I can't remember the director though...Tan Kheng Hua's name struck me first...hehe

Anyway, it was a funny 1hrs skit about a couple who have been dating for 8 years, and are finally planning their wedding. Issues plague this funny pair as they worry about flowers to clothes to sex. The funniest parts was when the woman saw her man ejaculate prematurely...and she was so traumatised, she started calling it a problem, and insisted that he went to get it fixed. Turns out that he had been 'saving' himself up for their big night, and somehow, when she touched him, he just came...freaking funny lah.

It became funnier when, because of their obsession with everything being perfect for their wedding, they began to PRACTISE having sex. They actually wore their underwear on the outside, and simulated touching each other by touching the air. They even had their Steps 1-10 when it came to having sex.

1 = touching of the face
2 = hugging
3 = light peck on the cheek
4 = peck on the lips
4.5 = French kissing
5 = *can't remember*
6 = butt grabbing
7 = boob grabbing
8 = "man lies on top of woman and repeats Steps 1 through 7"
9 = Man takes off panties of woman
9.5 = Woman puts on condom for man
10 = Penetration

This couple is super eccentric because they have everything planned out nicely already, from their HDB flat to the wedding music to the type of flowers. As such, they tried to do the same for sex, but soon realises that it's almost impossible to do so.

When they finally go all the way, the twist of the story at the end of the film is the guy announcing that the condom broke...hahahaha

So cartoon lor...

The World's Most Expensive Thumbtack

Leonard, Ben, Ivan and I were in one of the study rooms in Prince George's just now...our meeting started at 945pm. Yes yes, I know it's a damn weird time to be having a project meeting, but it's really the only time that all of us could meet. What to do...everyone is so busy...

Anyway, we had finished discussing our points, and wanted to write it all out on the whiteboard, but we realised that we did not have a whiteboard marker. So we decided to just pin the points on the corkboard...

For some strange reason, we were all desperately looking for a pin, or thumbtack, and I think I was the one who suggested using an ear stud. So Ben took his out and volunteered it. It was after pinning it up that Ivan mentioned that if we were going to use the cork board, we could've just used the stapler...

-_-"" seriously diaoz right?

That's what you get when you put 4 boys in a small aircon room, past midnight...LOL...sad case lah us...

=========================================================
Tmr (I mean, in a few hours time) is Sociology of Food Cooking Project...I am quite excited about making fresh pasta...I've never done it before...hope I can get the girls as excited as I am.

Wheee.... =)

Here's a scary picture I wanna share:

To me, the scariest thing about these owls, are their eyes...they just seem to stick out and stare so eerily at me. *shivers*

Not liking them at all...eeeesh....

It's OFFICIAL...

McDonald's is going to the dogs!!!

My Filet-O-Fish had NO CHEESE in it!

How disgusting is that? I had to add my OWN slice of cheese from the fridge.

Did they spend so much on the 'swanky' new box that they ran out of budget for cheese?

Sheesh...

Preposterous!

Stomp The Yard

It wasn't a bad movie. The plot was predictable, the characters were typical and the dancing and music was SWEET! Nothing to complain about it lah....though it was funny how Lionel and I managed to predict all the typical elements of this kind of plot.

I loved the dance movies though...very very nice...as usual, I think I will download the OST...heh. The guys went to play LAN, but I didn't want to play LAN lah...not my idea of enjoyment.

Instead, I tried out the new bus service 175! It rocks...takes me straight to my doorstep. Amazing...I am glad SBS is making so many new buses travel through Depot Road now. It really feels good knowing that I have a direct bus home from either VivoCity or town...yay!

Have to go and mark my tuition kid's work now...tmr got early morning tuition. ^_^

CCS 2007

It's finally over! I am sooo happy!

I met Suzanne today, and she is SOOOOO PRETTY lah...love her to bits.

Today's event was more or less pretty well done, so I was pretty happy about it. There was even some drama between the top four teams. Very very interesting...I am glad they all had some sense of theatrics (whether intention or otherwise).

I really love the NUSPA 32nd MC. They really amazed me by how they rallied together to lend their support. Really really touched. There's no such thing as rank or what not...everyone pitched in the best they could. ^_^ Love ya guys!

The bulk of the event is finally over, and now all that's left is all the post event stuff. Accounts to settle, and more certificates to print. Whew...trouble trouble trouble...but, it's all part and parcel. I am now thinking whether or not I should go and rest, go logon to my GuildWars to play for abit (which means 4-5AM!!! LOL.)

Ah well...let me shower first I guess. I will upload pictures soon! Wheeee!!!

Had a great day!

Quotable Quote of the day...

月圆之夜

Disclaimer: If you are prone to feeling extreme hunger after viewing pictures of good food, please do not scroll down any further...(I will put an ugly photo at the top, so that you still have a chance to 'escape'...hahaha)

Today is the last day of the Chinese New Year! Wheee...I had an absolutely fantastic lunch at home! Hahahaha...rocks sia..Dad cooked everything lah! And that is super rare, so I guess everything tasted better than usual.

Here we GO!!!

Mixed Vegetables and Mushrooms

Very 'light' dish..nothing too rich or extravagant. Good to balance all the rest of the rich, rich food...Heh.

Yu-sheng with no FISH! ^_^

Funky starting dish! We did yu-sheng with the following fruits and vegetables all shredded up (or..we can be ATAS and say julienned...heehee). Carrot, cucumber, jumbu, mango, papaya, pomelo, radish, crackers, sesame seeds, abalone, prawns, and everything was tossed together with a sweet sauce! Wheee! Excellent dish sia...very very hearty kinda yu-sheng. At the end of it all, we were all wondering why my mom even bothered to cook rice...HAHA.

The aftermath of tossing...and still left so much lor...heh

Breaded Pork fillet! Yummy!

Fish seasoned with tumeric, for that beautiful yellow colour!

This fish was very very nice...the yellow comes from tumeric, and makes it look so appetizing! Heehee...love this dish. The fish was frozen fish from Vietnam I think...and even after all that travelling and being frozen, it still tasted great! Still very fresh you know! I love fish!

Beef Stew!

This was Mom's creation. She loves using her Magic Cooker lah. It is this pot that allows you to keep stuff hot for AGES. And because it is so insulative in nature, you can use it to slow cook stuff and it becomes super tender. This stew at beef cubes, and tender bits from other...ahem...areas of our wonder bovine friend. Of course there were also the usual vegetables like carrots and potatos that totally absorbed all the flavour from the beef...gosh...talk about heaven. Heh...

琵琶豆腐(Pipa Tofu)

I think I got the name right. I am not too sure. The pipa is a Chinese musical instrument, and I have NO IDEA what has that got to do with this dish lah...I only know one thing...it is freaking delicious! Apparently, the last time my dad made this dish was when my brother was one year old. Amazing...it's made from pork, tofu, finely chopped carrots, spring onions and pepper.

Basically, you mash and mix everything up and season to taste. Then you make little dumplings/balls/whatever you want to call them, and deep-fry them slowly in oil. Once the skin is golden brown, pick them up and leave them to rest on a paper towel. Serve with dipping condiment fo your choice..(but I am told there is a SPECIFIC sauce for this dish though).

Here are more pics of the 琵琶豆腐(Pipa Tofu)!!!

On a bed of rice...

Covered in tartar-esque dip...mmmm....

So much for the dip...it tastes just as good without any though..hahahaha

Lunch was great today. I brought some of the food for the guys in school...but poor Fifi couldn't eat the tofu because of the freaking BABI! Argh! Nevermind ok? I make AYAM version for you next time! ^_^ I will go and ask my dad how to make! Heh..

=================================================================

I am not very sure why I am so snappy. And I am sorry for directing so much of whatever I am feeling at you. Will go and reflect and give you a proper answer.

Sorry...

I just love EL2111 lecture with Lynnette and gang! These are more of her doodles from post mid-term test. Our dearest lecturer included the answer key with the question paper! LOL! Of course he asked for them back lah...hahaha... It was a first for me though...seriously... =P

Here are the wonderful doodles! Yay!

I just love these lah...so cute lor...heeheehee...

Lynnette! You should start a collection! ^_^

Sentosa

I went to Sentosa today! Very long never go liao wor...there was enough sun today, so I finally got an acceptable tan (abit burnt on the arms, not enough sunblock there). We went via the new Sentosa Express! Very nice, and fast. Quick and easy...much better than the silly bus...

It was cloudy at first...so we were all quite worried that we wouldn't be able to get a nice tan...fortunately the skies cleared up and we managed receive the bounty that is ultraviolet rays! Heehee...skin cancer here I come! Wheee.......

We plopped ourselves down at Cafe del Mar, and bought some drinks (as payment for the using the place of course). $5 cup of camomile tea...whew...cheapest thing on their menu already, but I just wanted to use the very VERY nice tanning chairs. Got cool cushions on it also...so nice lor...

I wanna see what Cafe del Mar looks like at night though...I think it would be pretty funky. Al took alot of photos with his LOMO, but I think some of the shots got exposed. I hope not too many shots were spoilt...we took quite alot of fun shots.

It was quite relaxing to sit on the beds and just play bridge and tan and check out random people walking by. I will definitely go there again...and there were shower facilities too! One stop for everything.

After tanning (or burning in my case), we took the monorail back to the mainland, freaking fast lor...very very nice....I am loving it sia. I am thinking whether I should get the Islander card so that I can have free entry via the monorail everyday. Then I can go on my free days...ah well...

A Proper CNY Post...

I guess I haven't done a proper post on my CNY activities. Heh.

Let's see, what did I do this year. Day One was spent doing the usual visiting to both grandparents' place. Dad's parents in the late morning for an early lunch with that side of the family. I usually see these relatives once a year only, and every year we have a blast. There are very specific means of address for each member of the family.

We usually refer to them by the last character of their names, or the numerical position in which they are born. Strange, but traditional. There is this one particular aunt who everyone hates. And every year the rest of family gets together to secretly bitch about the poor sob. She is this crazy woman who seems slightly bipolar and always makes inane or insensitive comments to members of the family. Here are some examples:

(to my Mom)
"Wah, this year never lose weight again ah?"

(to my very attractive cousin who has blossomed into a fine young woman)
"Aiyo, girl cannot wear like that! Must cover up! *rushes to button a cardigan that is obvious NOT meant to be buttoned up* How can like that? So indecent!"

She's very insensitive lah..annoying bitch. This year, my cousins and I were trying these pineapple tarts that were made my my grandma's Malay neighbour. A very sweet esture, but sadly, the tarts were slightly...umm...pasty? The pastry was too thick and felt somewhat sandy and hard to chew. Basically, you put one in your mouth and you basically have to shut up and focus on chewing the tart. My cousin was saying how it was like sand, then later it will turn to mud and finally, very sticky Blu-Tack. Hahaha...

Then we were very evilly suggested giving one to that bipolar aunt to shut her up. ^_^

Later at night was at my Mom's parents place, my own home base lah...so nothing too special about that. Everyone gathered for food and drink and Grandpa was happy to be surounded by family. Yay!

Second day was spent with friends! Went to Johnathan's place to chill out, and then later to Lionel's place to gamble! Hah! I had pretty good luck this year man. Vincent said that the Rat has a good year this year...so I tried my luck at Blackjack...and true enough...

Ban Ban! There sia! Freaking cool lor...I guess it's also because I hardly gamble, so the luck accumulates? Maybe hor? Hahahaha... After everything, was clubbing at night with the guys, and supper and then home at 5 am! Gosh...freaking tired sia...

Well, that about sums up my CNY Day One and Day Two. After that, I've been trying to study for the past few days lor....TRYING being the operative word of course. Sighz....mid-terms are coming and I've done nothing! Boohoo! Essays to complete somemore...grrrrrr...DUNCH LIKE IT ONE BIT.

Okay! Time for my movie screening liao...Much Ado About Nothing...

P.D.A. (I love this song!)

"P.D.A. (We Just Don't Care)"

Let's go to the park
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we'll go too far
We just don't care,
We just don't care,
We just don't.

You know I love you when you're loving me
Sometimes it's better when it's publicly
I'm not ashamed, I don't care who sees
Us hugging & kissing our love exhibition all

We'll rendezvous out on the fire escape
I'd like to set off an alarm today
The love emergency don't make me wait
Just follow I'll lead you
I urgently need you

Let's go to the park
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we'll go too far
We just don't care
We just don't care
We just don't

Let's make love, let's go somewhere they might discover us
Let's get lost in lust
We just don't care,
We just don't care,
We just don't care.

I see you closing down the restaurant
Let's sneak and do it when your boss is gone
Everybody's leaving we'll have some fun
Or maybe it's wrong but you're turning me on.
Ooh, we'll take a visit to your Mama's house
Sneak to the bedroom while your Mama's out
Maybe she'll hear it when we scream and shout
And we'll keep it rocking until she comes knocking

Let's go to the park
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we'll go too far
We just don't care,
We just don't care,
We just don't...

Let's make love,
Let's go somewhere they might discover us.
Let's get lost in lust
We just don't care,
We just don't care,
We just don't care.

If we keep up all this fooling around
We'll be the talk of the town
I'll tell the world I'm in love any time
Let's open the blinds 'cause we really don't mind

Ooh I don't care about the propriety
Let's break the rules and ignore society
Maybe our neighbour like to spy, it's true
So what if they watch when we do what we do

Oh, let's go to the park
I wanna kiss you underneath the stars
Maybe we'll go too far
We just don't care,
We just don't care,
We just don't...

Let's make love, let's go somewhere they might discover us...

I just love this song man...it's just so nice. ^_^ Enjoy!

Been Awhile

It's been awhile since I blogged hor? Well, I guess there just hasn't been much impetus (been using this word lately, dunno why also) for me to do so.

I've been feeling slightly low on energy and motivation, and I know that this should not be problem for me, but it is. Ugh...losing consciousness...roars....dun like!

Anyway, Chinese New Year wasn't too bad this year. Grandpa did his usual thing, and cooked and made soup and made sure everyone was well fed. We all already told him to just rest and let us bring the food to him. BUT, of course, he refused, as is the right of all old and stubborn folk. Haha..

At least he has more things to occupy his time now I guess, so that's good.

This week is the mid-term break for everyone at NUS, but it doesn't feel like a break at all. The break coincides with CNY lah, and that is like cheating us a precious 2-3 days you know? So freaking gross lah...I wonder who plans the NUS work plan every semester...so disgusting.

I feel like I am falling behind in my work, and that there are so many things that have yet to be done. This week is crunch time already. Really need to start setting things in motion already. Need to go and shop for CCS things, and make sure that everyone is doing their jobs, and all that kinda stuff.

===================================================================

Was studying in the PA room yesterday, and ended having important conversation with important friends. I felt happy that I could help, and I also felt appreciated by those friends. It's rare for them to say it to my face, so I definitely appreciate the sentiment. ^_^ Ugh, got so many essays to write, all of which I am not particularly excited by. I hate two of my modules this semester lah...so wishy-washy, and airy-fairy, and basically made of fluff.

I seriously hate modules like that...and we're not even talking about the good kind of fluff...we are talking the low-grade, non-biodegradable kind that is harmful to both the environment and its users.

Okay lah...signing off now...

Promise to post some pictures soon...been awhile since I had pictures hor?

90 plus

He's already 90+ already. There is only so much that can be done at this point in time. More cancer has been found and it maybe spreading all over his body as we speak. I don't know shit about all the medical nonsense that goes on in hospitals.

I only know that I cannot stand the patronising, sympathising, condescending tone that the doctors take when they 'break' the news to the family. For instance, I sincerely expect you (the doctor) to tell me the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Instead, you sugar-coat everything and try your best to buffer the 'shock' of it all. Oh please...it's not like I've not done this before, and not heard any of this before.

Your protocol be damned...I asked for the truth, so just tell me already. Beating around the bush wastes your time and mine. Of course I will be sad, of course I will feel helpless, but I rather deal with all that as soon as possible. NOT, put up with the medical jargon and 'kind' all liberally sprinkled with 'concerned stares' and 'dramatic pauses'. I can only begin to tell you how I wish I really could deliver 'death stares'.

Hah! Then you'd see some REAL action 'em hospitals...

**This marks the end of random, angsty section on incompetent doctors who don't listen. Whew...
==================================================================

Anyway, Grandpa's finally out of the hospital, and the prognosis is far from what you would call 'fine and dandy'. Had a long talk with Mom that day, and she was telling me how sad she was that things were not improving for Gong gong.

When Gong gong was in the hospital, he was bored out of his mind (the ceiling of Alexandra Hospital is NOT the most interesting sight in the world, trust me, I checked). He just lay on the bed, and stared into white-washed walls, and slow-spinning ceiling fans. When he was not doing that, he just napped..or maybe he just kept his eyes closed. I will never know for sure...

I've lived with my grandparents for the longest time (since I was a young child), and they've been the next closest people I have in my life. I guess it never occurred to me that what I was doing, is hardly done by most people. At least in my family, my brother and I are the only grandchildren who live full time with our Gong gong and Po po, and we all take care of each other. My mom was the one who shared this with me. She was telling how one of my aunts was explaining/chiding/reminding the other bitching sisters that things were not easy for my mother and us, since we were always the ones 'at the front line' so to speak. I never thought about it that way, and then I realised that it really was true.

I have so many other cousins, but they hardly come down to see Gong gong. Xing Wei and myself are really the only ones around. And yet, we have people who have limited understanding of the situation, trying to give their two cents worth of opinions, when their opinions really don't matter in the first place (at most I'd give it half-a-cent of value?). I mean, I see the boredom and pain in his actions and face every single day. And do you truly want me to tell him that he has to stay in the boring hospital while the medical staff SLOWLY get tissue/blood samples from him for testing? NO right?

My Gong gong just wants to go home and rest and watch his CNA which he doesn't even understand (not the audio at least). For now, I just hope he listens to me and takes all his medicine, and eats/drinks properly. He really needs to understand that he needs to keep his strength up man...

Need to try and get to sleep...tired...and yet....awake...gosh...

Lethal paradox...

Crazy Moments

Sometimes you just want to highlight your readings one paragraph at a time. Not to mention unlimited highlighter ink...heh

"Cover-face-and-pretend-to-be-ninja" Jutsu!

I realised I tend to do crazy things when I am wearing my Franklin shirt...hahaha... ^_^

Overheard on the bus...

I was on my way home from school and there was this woman sitting behind me who was talking really loudly on her mobile. She was extremely unhappy with some guy, who she felt was a total asshole I think...

Woman: I tell you hor, that guy is like...aiyah, you know lah...talking to him is like...umm...is like PLAYING PIANO TO THE COW!

I was left slightly stunned as I tried to figure out what she meant by that. Then it struck me...

对牛弹琴

I stifled a laugh, and quickly alighted at my stop.
