New Clothes, New Skill!

Old Clothes

New Clothes

The new clothes look a little too sexy for my liking actually. If you look at the previous outfit, I think you could call it more of an understated kinda sexy. The current one is practically anime-schoolgirl sexy lor...but I have no choice though. I seriously needed the health bonus granted my the new Canthan armour. So I bought what I felt was the best looking combination and dyed the entire lot silver. Not THAT bad right? Now when she dances, her butt-shaking is even more obvious than before...cos' the skirt is too short mah...haha. The rest of the guild thinks she's hot...the freaking horndogs...only have sex on their minds (but then again, who doesn't? ^_^)

Touch me lah! Now you'll kenna slap by me! "PIAK!"

Right in the kisser!

Yeah, this is my new Elite Skill, Starburst! Got 'star' inside (star, 星, 星键, Xing Jian...you get the picture...heh), so confirm good skill lah! It's a spell, but has no range...so you need to walk/run up to the enemy and touch them. I call it my 'magic slap'! Haha...all enemies in the area will get hit by it, and if more than ONE foe is struck I lose a measly 5 energy?!?!

Please lor...as an Elementalist I have tons of energy (82 to be exact..the average is 40-45) so that's usually a non-issue! And it's very nice when she's is slowed down by a Hex so she can't run...then it really looks like she 'gelek' (walk slowly, deliberately and sexily) up to the enemy, and 'PIAK' them in the face...dealing 119+ fire damage in the process...and of course...the starlight/burst effect is pretty too, no?

Off, everything is OFF!

Sighz...I've been a bad boy the past weekend. My willpower is off, my intergrity is off, my drive is off, my 'alot-of-the-important-things-that-should-be-done-machine' is off...so irritating can?

The only thing that's been ON is my gaming instinct. I cleared most of my missions for my GuildWars characters, hit level 20, bought new armour (that is oh so CHIO), captured new elite skills...sheesh.

Later going to bring Desmond to report for work. And I am going to own up to Teng Nging for not doing what I was supposed to do. Bad bad boy...need to make up for it this week. Maybe I should really do the work in school...at home really got distractions leh. But then again, should I give myself a challenge? Haiz...see how lah.

Talk later... ^_^

Audio Technica - BAGUS!!!

I know I just posted, but I just tried out my new earphones that I bought, and they're so good that I simply have to gush about them! My Shuffle's earphones sorta went crazy, so I've been using this pair of totally mismatching Sony earphones lah...this is the pair I bought:
Nice right? I bought the white one...I mean my Shuffle is white mah, so might as well get it right? They're called inner ear headphones...I used to diss them cos' I thought it was a little gross sticking these things so far into your ears that they'd actually touch your wax....yucks! But now that I've tried them...GAWD! The sound, I tell you.....whooowheeeeeee.....

Even on a low volume setting you can hear the sound lor...and I am NOT an audiophile and yet I am gushing about these noise-cancelling thing-a-ma-jigs...so they have to be some good right? I think I will never listen to music the same way again...in fact, I think I will never notice an approaching car as well! Hahahaha....

The entire package comes with 3 different sizes for the earphones, and also a little black pouch! Quite a lot of value added I think...I am SERIOUSLY impressed. :)

And the best part? The entire thing only cost $30! I mean compare that to our 'friends' who are more 'up-market'...not a bad deal at all. I am suitably impressed...now all that's left is to see if it stands up to the test of time...BUUUUUT then again hor...it has ONE (Y)EAR (yes, lame I know...couldn't resist...heh) WARRANTY leh! Another amazing thing man...so be sure to keep your receipts guys! ^_^

(whew, so ends my shameless promoting of my new INNER EAR HEADPHONES..oops...there I go again)

The Inertia Of It All.

Sitting in front of my desktop now...didn't know what to do, so decided to blog about today ( I mean YESTERDAY...I really should sleep earlier man). Anyway, I just finished doing more of my data entering...3hours worth...my eyes are killing me I think. I need some non-LCD/CRT visual soon...before my poor retinas burn away into oblivion. So on to my Saturday...

Woke up at 7am, supposed to go early to settle the voting thing...but it was raining, and the weather cool...so slept in lor...not even voting is more important than a night snooze in cool, rainy weather! Hah! Left the home at 8am and took a 5min stroll to the primary just next to my block. Mom was with me...and we talked rubbish and gushed about silly inconsequential things as we headed to put our pens to silly slips of paper.

I really do not feel anything about the GE lor...I know that I should be politically, or at the very least, be interested in it for GENERAL KNOWLEDGE...but I really cannot be bothered lah. I am a SHEEP...
(yes, everyone is allowed to go form your views on my political outlook, or lack there of, on situation in our fine island nation)

I told my mom two stories with slight political reference/commentry:

==========================================================================
Story 1:

I was in a cab, and the cabbie was chatty. I was feeling somewhat chatty too, so we did what two chatty people do when they're together...they chat. He started telling me about how business was exceptionally good on Friday night...(this was the weekend the Progress Package was issued). Basically, he feels that since the 'zeng hu'/'gahmen' (dialects for government) gave out the moolah that week, everyone come out and play lor...purse strings loose already what...

The way he said it was so funny lah...don't really know how to describe to you also...but I totally understood. He said business was almost akin to that on Christmas night, or that of any major public holiday.

==========================================================================
Story 2:

This story is Vincent tell me one...super farnie...

Vi's Grandma: 'Zeng hu' good what...they give us money leh... (this was said in an innocent, cheery voice)

Look on Vi's Mom's face = 'crap, she's talking again...she really shouldn't talk about these kinda things...especially to taxi drivers'

Vincent looks on at the proceedings with interest.

Taxi Driver: 'Zeng hu' give you money? 'Zeng hu' give you MONEY?!?! That money is OURS lor!

MWAHAHHAHA...poor Vi's grandma...nothing to say already.

==========================================================================

Anyway, back to my Saturday...I started tuition. This pair of Primary 6 girls...quite funny, but terrible English. I feel it's really a last minute thing, but after hearing how f***ed up their school teacher was...I felt obliged to give them at least a fighting chance.

How does a P6 child understand experiments if they've NEVER done them? Is not the entire point of studying Science to have hands-on experiences? And the teacher's excuse is that they have no time! He actually told them TO GO AND STUDY by THEMSELVES! Ridiculous!

Hopefully I can help them I guess...final year leh...and still don't know a thing.

After that I went to town to meet up with Leonard to jalan-jalan. We walked around aimlessly for about an hour and a half before we actually did some shopping. I bought myself a new pair of earphones, and Leonard bought this funky graphic tee. We spent more time bitching and talking rubbish lah...both of us not really in the mood for shopping..

Dinner was the highlight. He had been wanting to try this Japanese restaurant at Tiong Bahru Plaza, and since it was near my place (mwahahaha...I know I'm evil..but he's going back to hall anyway what!) I said let's go there and try it out. When we arrived, it was the only restaurant with NO queue...I thought to myself that Leonard must be crazy lor...eat at this kinda place. But since we already came all the way, just give it a try. 2 minutes after we were seated...there a substantial queue outside! At least 6 people man! Whew! So we were actually lucky lor...heh

This is some of the decor outside..nice Japanese-looking plants

There were some fairy lights which we both agreed seemed a little OFF...they were blinking too...haha
Some interestingly gross, yet nice funky beans. Not heavenly to taste, but yet compelling.

Anyway, we both ordered the Paper Pot thingy...you know, the one where the 'magic' paper pot does not seem to catch fire at all? I had a Salmon and Leonard had a Beef. Really not bad, and if you add a dollar, you get fried tofu, plus a free can of Coke. Not bad right? Oh! We dined al fresco somemore! Not bad leh...I was seriously impressed with the place lah...glad we tried it out.

Who wants to go? Next time I bring you there ok? Just let me know...hahhaa

That was my Saturday lor...later going to rush my data entry liao...so sianz....

Nitez.......

Naughty Boys!

So I was having tuition with my Taiwanese Primary 5 kid today. We were damn bored lah, and he couldn't concentrate at all on the English paper he was doing. So I suggested that we play Yu-gi-oh! Haha...I had built a different deck and was dying to try it out. I had intended to do it at the end of the lesson, but since he looked so BORED...play cards first lor.

So we were playing, and having a lot of fun. Halfway into our second game, the door suddenly shooked and rattled with the force of somebody turning a key and depressing the doorknob. It was a mad rush to keep our cards, we tried our best to look as calm as possible (we failed terribly...lol).

It was not Mrs Hu, but it was actually his older sister. Whew! She was cool, and though she didn't suspect anything at first. Ching Hao (the kid's nickname is Hao Hao..try saying it in a cutsy Taiwanese accent) was so tickled by how we had tried to clear up the evidence, he couldn't keep from laughing. In the end, he burst out laughing and told his sister what we had been doing just before she came back.

She's cool, and didn't tell on us. Damn farnie lah...like small kids like that.
(Correction...Hao Hao IS a small kid...I'm the weird one...heehee)

I'm turning into a 损友 (Chinese for friend who is bad influence)...

Work for the hols...and Mom's birthday.

Just started working with Teng Nging today. Helping her with the sorting and entering of data from surveys regarding Immunology or something. Spent the most part of the day organising the survey forms into respective schools and also in the order of each form's serial number. Tough man...eyes a little blurry now.

Well, working in Medicine Faculty is indeed different. I realised that the Medicine Library is SOOO different from the Central Library lah. It's very conducive for study one. I's EXTREMELY quiet, which is perfect for someone like me (I'm supposed to be what they call 'low-monitoring'...which is supposed to mean that I have a low threshold for noise/distractions)

Well, I expect to be busy with this data entry job for the good part of May...at $7/hr, it's not too bad I guess. Thanks Teng Nging for the offer!

Going to get back to work...finished sorting liao, so now must do data entry lor...sighz....WARGH!!!
========================================================================
Yesterday was LABOUR DAY right? My mom's birthday! We visited the Istana...it was very VERY interesting! SO many things are so different in the place lor...the grounds were super super nice too...golf course, a huge variety of flowers and large open spaces. Here are some pictures!

The gates to the main grounds. Old and rustic. ^_^

My uncle said this, "Charity starts at The Istana" LOL...

There you go...The Istana!

One of the MANY other flowers inside. ( I put this one cos' I feel it's the nicest flower pic that I took :))

Queen Victoria...poor gal relegated to some obscure corner of the grouds. Haha

Picking this conversation:

Me: Look! It's Queen Victoria!

Mom: Why is her noce brown...

Me: Dunno.

Mom: Do you think it's from insects?

Me: Aiyah, I know already! She never do her THREE-STEP! Hahaha.

I think is the first reflection of Singapure and it's CMIO (Chinese, Malay, Indian & Others).

========================================================================

After our 'adventure', we went to 老北京食堂, which I've always learnt!!! I bought Mom that meanl sia..lol

exams over liao...and reasons why i love (dun tell you leh)

finished my papers yesterday! Yay...so happy...ok, 'nuff said...I don't wanna get 'stoned' by pens and expletives...

Reasons Why I Love (don't tell you leh)

1. You are an excellent listener. That means listening to me whine until the cows come home (and everyone know cows NEVER come home...hahaha)

2. You are so freaking bitchy, we always have a blast together. Bless his soul, the poor bastard who would cross into the path of our bitching, as he would surely last no longer than 30s as our words cut him down and reveal his basest, most useless form.

3. There is much trust between as we share all our whatever 大便s, and 烦恼s. ^_^

4. You let me hold your hands!!! I will surely let you hold mine if you ever need them. (cue 'Awww's and 'So sweet....'s now! Hahaha)

5. You are non-judgemental, and honest.

6. I'm glad I found a friend like you...heng sia...ALMOST (yes, i say ALMOST) like strike TOTO...haha.

==================================================================

thank you Yiting, Xinwei and Kelvin for the NUM tee...do I dare to wear to school? Hahhaa...anyway, I'm gonna try and change it today. If cannot, then too bad for me I guess...but i really do like it... 谢谢你们!!!

A bit tired sia...last night slept at 4am...cause I was playing GuildWars! Haha...there was this super interesting quest to collect a limited edition face mask. I managed to get 2, one for my Factions character and one for my Prophecies character.

I'm now sitting in YIH trying to study, but my brain is slightly fried already...argh!

Anyway, tmr is my LAST PAPER already, so I'm pretty happy! Hahaha...so just jia you abit more, then everything should be ok again!!! ;)

Reach there machiam (almost like) never take picture before...keep taking and taking and taking...siao man...photo whores...the lot of us ('cept maybe for Matt)

Image hosting by PhotobucketImage hosting by Photobucket
Got many antique shops selling various statues and curios. All very interesting to find this place in such an 'out-of-the-way' area.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Really like this picture a lot. Sitting in a small little pavilion thingy. Heehee. ^_^

Image hosting by Photobucket
Note to self: Always check with your friends what colour they're wearing for the day so as to avoid instances as seen above. But I really do like this picture...thanks to Vincent for not being able to resist snapping it...lol

Image hosting by Photobucket
Dinnertime! Funky placemat with the cafe's very own monogram...NICE!

Image hosting by Photobucket
This is a slightly blurry picture of the front of the kitchen where the food comes out from and where all the waiters slack and try their best (often failing) to see if your cup needs refilling.

Image hosting by Photobucket
Our ice water, WHILE they were still full...the waiters really not as attentive as they should be...tsk tsk tsk.

Image hosting by Photobucket
What Yi Ding ordered...it's not just a NORMAL sandwich ok? It's super SUPERSIZED but still very very yummy. Got beetroot inside leh! So interesting right? The fries there are also very nice...different shape from the usual boring fare u get at Macs.

Image hosting by Photobucket
This is Vincent's attempt at taking a scary picture. He was hoping for 'something' to turn up in the photos I think...dream on lah. You where have so 'heng'? (I also don't want to be so 'heng' lor...hahahah)

Image hosting by Photobucket
Ended the evening with wine at The Wine Company...so romantic hor? Hahaha...

====================================================================

Photo show end liao...thanks once again for the wonderful evening guys!

First Paper down... ^_^

Just finished my first paper just now...

Was the FIRST to walk out leh! Tara gave me the 'are-you-sure-wanna-leave-so-early' look?

And I gave her the 'yah-i'm-pretty-sure-of-myself' look

Quite thrilling to walk out of the exam hall first. Heehee. :)

4 more papers to go!!!

Dinner at PS Cafe.

Last night had dinner at PS Cafe. It is this very nice, high-class feeling kinda place. It's in town, but unless someone who knows where it is tells you where it actually is, your chances of finding it are next to nothing!

Very VERY ULU...but so SO near NUS! Bless the powers-that-be for that. It's a little expensive though, but it was a birthday treat from Vincent to me..haha...so free dinner! Yay! Matthew and Yi Ding went as well. Really enjoyed ourselves mah..great place, great food, great company! Love all of you so much!^_^

It's clientele is mostly expatriates, and the yuppies and guppies I guess. It is best that one drives as it's pretty inaccessible. However, we discovered that public transport works fine! Just take bus service 106 from Bouna VIsta/Holland VIllage, and alight along Holland Road, before it reaches Gleneagles and US Embassy. Then it's just a short 5 minute walk to the cafe.

If you wanna eat there, you definitely need at least $30 bucks. Period.

After that we had wine at The Wine Company. We all never drink wine before (I mean at least at a proper 'wine establishment') so we didn't know how to order and all that lah. So the 4 of us who were super 'swaku' jsut asked for a recommendation lor...haha.

We had some white wine from dunno where, and dunno when...but it was nice. We played silly word games, and chatted, and got a little tipsy, and all that. Great night lah...

After that go back to school and tried to study, but very difficult with rich food and wine in our systems...ah well...

====================================================================
Xing Jian is HAPPY! Thanks Vi for the treat, and thanks Matt and Ding for coming along to accompany us!
====================================================================

(Pictures from this excellent evening will be up soon!)

Villa Bali after Party World

Had a drink with Amos, James, Vincent and Matthew yesterday at this super-cool-full-of-mosquitoes place. It's called Villa Bali, and it's near my home! At Gillman estate, just opposite SAJC's old campus!

Imagine tropical resort style kinda feel...just need a sea view for everything to be excellent..haha

Love it...nice and warm and relaxing, great drinks, great friends...really enjoyed myself.

Before that had a KTV session...James can really hold a tune lor...must ask him out more often for KTV...haha
=====================================================================

Exams are coming soon...sheesh...studying fever is all around...here we go man...Year 1, Sem 2...exciting.

This is NOT ice-cream...this is cream cheese! Frozen, soft, cream cheese...think it's called Marscopone? or Morscopone? Something like that lah...had this when Kit Loong brought me out for dinner last Sunday.

Tuesday, April 04, 2006

bored...and a little sad...

Let me say my thanks first...

1. Thank you Kit Loong for the lovely dinner at that obscure, but-oh-so-good restaurant on Sunday.

2. Thanks Desmond Z and Jiehao for the cap! I think my cap collection is growing..slowly but surely.

3. Thanks for all the well-wishes from my friends, especially those who MSN-ed/SMS-ed at exactly 0000hrs on 3rd April. Haha...

I'm now 22...pretty uneventful birthday I guess. I mean I also can't be bothered to plan anything, so I guess I can't expect much. Somemore it's exam period, so everyone is busy and all that. Maybe because I did not do anything that's why I feeling a little gloomy?

Don't know lah...feeling a bit emotional now...and not the good kinda emotional. I guess I spent most of my birthday thinking alot about things, and I realised that I'm not in the best of places. Really don't know what to do about where I am right now...can't say I hate it, but can't say I love it either.

It's one of those love-to-hate, hate-to-love kinda situations...and to top it all off, I know for a fact that it was MY CHOICE somemore. I guess I've to live with it for now...and see how things go. I know for a fact that I can never let it go, since I've chosen to keep it by me...it'll be part of me forever...or at least until I die.

I just feel like letting out this gigantic SIGH...really, that's what I wanna do...just a big SIGH.

Losing my consciousness...losing the battle to hold onto it...all that I've worked for...slowly slipping away...why am I feeling like this? Save me?

Gd night...

unhappy

I am

(PS: umm, try not to ask me what's wrong? I may or may not tell you depending on who you are...so if I don't, please don't feel offended ok? it's one of those, "I-just-can't-say" kinda things..nothing against you.)

Social Control and Moral Panic

great movie!

2 hours of sleep = cranky Xing Jian

Really man...sleep is important...

Iwoke up at 6am, and was checking my downloads for my presentation and all that. Before that, I had turned on the heater first, so that the water could take some time to warm up. Less than a minute later, my grandpa knocks on my door and gestures angrily at the bathroom, indicating his displeasure at my having left the heater on...

Wah I tell you, my face became black lor...and I said, "I know lah, I know lah! Haiz!!!"

Seriously, sleep is important..heh
=======================================================================

So I went to the gym right? Noticed something very funny. At least three people were working in the same area, and were wearing very VERY similar clothing. Grey, ratty-looking sleeveless tops and red/maroon/dirty-red shorts. Very peculiar don't you think? I sure do.

Ah well....
=======================================================================
Let me share a few jokes that my classmate from GEK1049 tutorial shared with me...lame until cannot take it man...

Q. Why was the mushroom invited to the party? (assume that the mushroom has gender and is male)

A. Because he was a fungi (Fun Guy)! ^_^

Q. What is a baby plate?

A. A childish! (Child + Dish) OMG!

OMFG...it's 4am already!

This is not good...it's already 4am and I'm still awake.

I was up the entire night looking for video converters and video editors! And I am proud to say, I now can do some very, VERY basic editing. Why am I doing all this you ask? All for my GEK1049 presentation lor...

Today's (I mean, YESTERDAY'S) presentations were super good lah! Nice video clips, funky animation of the slides...everything lor. My tutor asked my group, "So how did you find the presentation? Did they spoil your market?"

All I could do was grin sheepishly and shrug. All the while I was thinking, I AM SO SCREWED! Fortunately, I have good group members who are super hardworking (can't say the same for myself) and pretty enthusiastic about the presentation! We've decided to change our route of advance, and will be tackling ONE game instead of several games.

We realised after watching the presentations that it is better to analyse a few examples in-depth, than to go all over the place trying to pick out distinctive elements from here and there. So our game of choice: Final Fantasy VII!

It is like only the GREATEST RPG of all time! I'm still trying to find the opening video...anyone has it? Or everyone only has FFX and FFX-2 stuff? If any of you happen to have the FFVII clips, let me know ok?

Sighz, supposed to go gym tomorrow, now I don't know whether I can wake up in time for lecture or not...maybe I should not sleep at all? Will that help? Hmm...datelines, datelines and more datelines...making me super cranky sia...

*Sorry for snapping at you today, you totally didn't deserve it...I'm an ass...paiseh hor brudder... ^_^

Okay, going to try to catch 40 winks now...

(Tmr watching V for Vendetta with Desmond! Excitement sia... ^_^)

Anybody wants to UNLOCK me? Wahahahaha

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.

You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

Birthday Wishlist

Didn't even really notice that my birthday is coming liao...sheesh...one more week only leh...

Here's what I want (but am sure I won't get)

(in no particular order of merit/preference)

1. Messenger Bag (no Crumpler...ugh, aiming for Timbuk2)
2. New pair of spectacles
3. New pair of earphones (preferably white, the right side of my current pair making funny sounds liao)

Hmm, I realised that there's not really much that I want lah...hahaha...think and think also these few things only. Simple hor? Maybe spend some time with friends...but I'm too lazy to organise anything anyhow...

Ah well...back to the essay that I was supposed to start but still have not...wahahaha

Tiger TIger TIGER!

Whew, just finished my presentation! So happy...it didn't go too badly...in fact, we were praised for the picture below:

Image hosting by Photobucket

By combining this picture (got it from deviantart.com), and adding logos from Adidas and Tiger Balm, we came up with a concept poster that is suppose to help Tiger Balm break free from its old, dreary image, and maybe capture the younger section of the copnsumer market.

Our tutor loved it! She kept gushing about it...hopefully it was enough to get us a good grade. The written report was mostly written by moi, so if it gets a bad grade, it will sorta be MY fault...how ah? Ah well, don't care liao...

Now only left with ONE more ESSAY, ONE more PRESENTATION and ONE more CLASS TEST! Progress!

Now, will do lunch and one more tutorial, and I'm home free!

(for today at least)

GEK1049 is FUNKY!

I had my Introduction to Narrative test today.

Here's what the lecturer said...

"I will start showing the video clips at 0815 sharp. This is a COMPLETELY OPEN test. Please feel free to discuss with your classmates or myself if you have any queries. Do remember that you can hand in at 0945 at the end of the lecture, or at 12am. Of course those who take it home to do will be graded more strictly then those who hand it in during the lecture."

This module is rocking so far man...super fun topics, interesting lectures, and work load is not that heavy! Haha...loving it.

Must take for all those who want a relaxed, yet enjoyable GEM. ^_^

Peeping Tom in NUS!

Image hosting by Photobucket

Just saw this in the Male toilet in Central Library! So the rumours are TRUE! So scary! Must be very careful about using the cubicles now...

I only just realised that the height of the 'wall' is actually quite low and that if you're tall enough you CAN see over to the other side...sheesh...what's wrong with this person? Obviously never hear of porn before right?

Like the song goes...THE INTERNET IS FOR PORN!

Everyone studying in Central Library please take care ok? Heehee... ^_^

I made my Mom sad...

Sigh...

My mom just SMSed me to tell me that I made her very sad. I took a harsh tone when speaking with her just now.

She's on her way to the airport, flying to China for a short holiday...Shanghai and Beijing.

Anyway, she said that there were so many times that she felt sad when I spoke harshly to her, but today, she couldn't take it anymore, and decided to to tell me (albeit via SMS). I also don't know what to say...I mean I was really frustrated when I found out that she gave me unclear instructions and caused me to confuse my grandfather. Especially when one is dealing with the elderly and money matters, one must always be clear...if not will cause misunderstandings you know. When she proceeded to insist that she did not instruct me wrongly, that infuriated me even more. I read out every single SMS she sent me regarding the issue, and she realised that she was wrong, but she still said,

========================================================================
Mom: "Even if I really was wrong, you did not have to speak to me so harshly you know? You know how many times you spoke to me harshly, and I felt sad, but I never said anything?"

XJ: "Haiz..." (she cuts me off)

Mom: "So next time I should tell you straight to your face immediately right?"

XJ: "Yeaaah...but I just get very frustrated when you are not clear about instructions..."

Mom: "Forget it...I don't want to talk about it anymore...byebye."
========================================================================

That was the conversation can?! I also don't know whether I handled that well...

Feeling shitty now...

She really should be more frank with me...but then again, I'm not totally frank with her also...so I guess I can't really say anything right?

I still stand by this mantra:

THINGS THAT ARE LEFT UNSAID PROBLEMATISE ALL RELATIONSHIPS

I honestly think this is very true...ALL relationships...

The tough part is finding that someone that you can be truly TRUTHFUL and FRANK to...not easy to trust a person so wholly. I'm glad I have a few friends with whom I can be totally truthful and frank. Thanks guys. ^_^

Until then, a piece of advice to everyone reading this, don't leave too many things unsaid ok? They will come and bite you in the butt...I guarantee it. And when they do, its neither pretty nor painless.

Sigh, now I'm unhappy, and my Mom is unhappy too...both unhappy...sianz...

I don't like making my Mom unhappy...sucks.

late!

Woke up...

Had breakfast...

Got on train...

Got on bus...

Missed my stop...

Ended up in Bugis...

Walked to The Hive...

Working now...

Gym later (I really must, been missing too many times already)...

FD3

Watched Final Destination 3 with Nat yesterday...

Very scary sia...Okay lah, not that scary per se, but then, it was really very gruesome...

I mean I'd already heard about some of the parts about how the kids died...but watching it was still pretty intense. Nat and I were visibily cringing and 'ooh-ing' and 'aah-ing'...haha

We watched at Lido...super empty cinema, there were no more than 10 people in the place, so no one saw how silly we looked..heh
====================================================================================
an opinion...

I am thankful for the friends who are willing to share everything with me...that shows me that you have the courage to voice your opinions about whichever issue you have. I thank all of you who speak your mind in my presence, and I only hope that I've been that way to you all as well. If any of you ever feel that I'm not speaking my mind, do have the courage (i.e. balls, girls included) to face me ok?

To those of you who do not have the courage to be upfront with me, I hope that one day you will be able to speak freely with me. There are some people who spoken ill of me, and to me, you obviously don't have the f***ing balls to speak with me directly. Well, I am sorry for your lack of guts, but please don't go around speaking ill of me...especially to my close friends. Cos' I will say this...those friends of mine, will probably know more about me than any of you spineless sh**s ever will...

So stop being so 鬼鬼祟祟(sneaky)...generate bad karma only...

a bit about work... ^_^

Let me tell you a bit about my part-time job.

It's at this backpackers' hostel called The Hive. Anyway, my job here is to do CLEANING! So I basically, for 6 hours, become SUPER HOUSE HUSBAND! I iron, fold, sweep, mop, scrub, scour, wipe, polish, rinse, (feel free to insert more verbs related to dosmesticated cleaning in this space) etc.

It's not a particularly difficult job, and it's pretty fun doing everything. One thing that puzzles me to this day, is the fact that everyone who sees me working (and in this , I mean, the other members of staff at The Hive i.e. the other Echo Wings instructors and officers), all ask me why I clean SO HARD!

I look at them with a frown, and ask back, "Isn't this how cleaning is supposed toi be done?"

They will then answer and say, "Don't need to clean so hard wan lah...."

========================================================================
Well, I guess it's just in my nature to be thorough about these things, especially since I am being paid to do this job. Now, if only I can transfer my impeccability onto other things...hahaha...

This week has been a bad week for me...Because my desktop is back online, I've been playing Guild Wars non-stop! I just find it so fun, and the fact that I don't have to pay a monthly subscription is SUPER SWEET! Hahaha...Ah well, Hope the novelty of it all will die down soon....I have a lot of projects and stuff due soon...

Until then, I will still kill more dragons and sand giants...haha

a moment of insanity

Xing Jian --

[noun]:

A person who likes to steal tins of tuna

'How will you be defined in the dictionary?' at QuizGalaxy.com

I know, I know...I have a problem...BIG WHOOP!

So what if I like to steal tins of tuna?! I pretty darn good at it too! Humph!

These tins of tuna need to be returned to the sea where they rightfully belong! We humans have no business dredging 'em outta the ocean and consuming 'em like we needed to eat fish! We can go eat some other useless fish...like clown fish or something...

'Em cans of tuna are not going to be staying on 'em shelves as long as I'm around...y'all mark mine words, I tell ya...'em tuna cans...just you wait and see...

'Em freakin' tuna cans!

fabulous Tuesday!

Today was a totally 'i-had-such-a-blast' day!

Let's see, my friend Ruifeng came over in the morning to help me to fine tune my desktop...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I really owe you a treat ok? Must must...serious! Thanks to him, I now have two monitors linked to my desktop! It really is pretty cool, being able to surf the Net on one screen, and MSN on the other...My real favourite is watching anime on one, and everything else on the other! Hah!

Granted, the two monitors are different colours, and the sizes are a little off...but then again, how many people actually have two monitors to play with?! Haha...the white monitor was the old one, and the black one was bought from Vincent.

In GuildWars, I killed some powerful dragon! too! She's called Glint I think...not too shabby eh? She's supposed to be super-hard, and it's true...I died the first time I tried tackling her...but the second team I was with was quite good...so we managed to persevere and put and end to her misery...

Tuition today was super fun too! I went through with Ching Hao his work...he's improving I think...and that's quite fast for a kid who only just came from Taiwan in the middle of last year. After I was done, we played Yu-gi-oh together...he owned me man...

I only won one game out of three...his deck is pretty good man...to be honest, it really is quite brainless...luck is a super high factor in Yu-gi-oh...bad opening hands are really punished...haha...suddenly tempted to do abit more building for Yu-gi-oh...hmm..should I? We'll see, we'll see...hahaha.

太开心了!!!

This is excellent! My desktop is finally back online, and I now can use a nice and big computer! Hahaha...everything is just fine and dandy. I am so excited, that I'm still awake...just played abit of GuildWars...haha...

Lucky, this week is mid-term break...so I don't have any school to attend...whew.

Anyway, my 'DEAREST' cousin, Benjamin, did not help me to plug all the relevant cables back into their respective places, causing my computer to not be able to start up...and here I thought it was because of the turning on/off of the computer that caused the OS to become corrupted! BAH! Benjamin kor-kor, it's all your fault! Lucky I called my friend, and he asked me to check all the connections again, if not I would never have known that it was because of the disconnected cables, that caused everything to NOT WORK!

(next time, please tell me what you are doing to my computer okay?!?!?!)

==================================================================================
I watched Brokeback Mountain with Kit Loong and Aloysius just now...even though it was my second time watching, I still felt the emotion pretty strongly. Also, I cannot, for the life of me, understand why people laugh when they see two guys fucking...I mean, granted you don't see everyday, but is it really that funny?! Also, when they are caught kissing by one of their wives, is that funny?!?! I would think that it would be a moment of suspense, as their secret, forbidden love each other had been found out! Freaking Singaporeans, so close-minded, and happily showing off how ignorant they can be...absolutely annoying...humph!
==================================================================================

I think I'd bettergo and get some sleep...if not, confirm concuss until don't know what time...hahaha...good night (I mean, morning!)

YES!!! It was the graphics card!

SO HAPPY!

changed the freaking graphics card, and lo and behold, I now have a display on my monitor!!! Yay!

Sadly, because I sorta turned my CPU on/off too many times, I sorta corrupted the OS...so now cannot boot up, and I need to do a system restore...I certainly hope I do not lose all my stuff...that would too tragic already...

Okok...going to do some reading now...

^_^

that wasn't so bad...

I just called the motherboard company! Yay! So happy...haha....they were really helpful, and were totally not anal about me not sending in my warranty card! Hahaha...so happy. Wahaha...

This evening I will slowly take out the fragile thing, and then tomorrow morning I will bring it in for servicing. Yay! Hopefully, everything will be okay...yeah.

Must get my desktop back online man....

projects and term papers...

Next week is the mid-term break. I guess I didn't really expect it to be so soon...really lor...

I mean, it's been awhile, and with CNY and all, it really seems too soon for a mid-term break. I'm having this phase at the moment...it's the 'i-don't-feel-like-doing-anything' phase. A lot of inertia is present, and I just can't seem to move at all...it sure is irritating man...wargh!

A lot of people are feeling this way as well...I wonder what is the reason for this is...hmm...

Anyway, now having dinner with Vincent and Aiman in the canteen. Tonight I will be studying, and preparing for my tutorial in the morning...marketing tutorial leh...I think it's really annoying that we have yet to have our first meeting leh...how ah? Got presentation to prepare for leh...25% somemore...haiz....

We were supposed to go and watch Memoirs of a Geisha, but the only show was at 920pm, at Tiong Bahru GV. Cannot lah...no go...hahaha

I will send my PC for repairs this coming week...Vincent somemore say "IF you do, that would be good..." Humph, he's poking at my procrastination leh...jialat...I've been saying that I would fix it for 2 months liao...

I will do it lah...I miss my computer man...so long never play GuildWars liao...hahaha

just say lah....haiz...

Been a long while since I posted anything...

Well, just wanted to voice a thought...

If you got anything you really wanna say to anybody...just say it. Don't so scared ok? It's just that I realised that I am really annoyed by people who are wishy-washy about things...I mean, if you have something to ask/say, just do it! If you are not willing to do so, then don't even HINT that you have an opinion...it's just annoying, and very bad for relationships.

The main things that destroy relationships, are always the THINGS that are left UNSAID.

Yeah...
